There are bunch of things I could cover from this magazine that are worth talking about, but I have a Lindy's to get through too. So here is an overall feel of what PFW thinks about the Hawks....
POWER RANKING: 5... Only behind Dallas (2) from the NFC.
"Mike Holmgren is hoping his retierment party takes place in Tampa"
PROJECTED RECORD: 12-4
"While a storybook Super Bowl swan song for Mike Holmgren might be asking a bit too much, a fifth straight divison title and a sixth straight playoff berth for the Seahawks look like very strong possibilities"
PROJECTED NFC WEST STANDINGS
Sea 12-4
Az 10-6
StL 6-10
SF 3-13
FYI, the magizine does not have specific rounds drawn out, but picks Dallas, NO, GB, and SEA as division winners, with AZ and NY as the Wild Cards. Judging by the projected records, they have the Hawks and Dallas both with 12-4 records, receiving the playoff bye. I think I might be to nervous to eat on turkey day. They pick Dallas to lose to NE in the Superbowl. That seems to be a pretty popular pick, which almost ensures it won't happen. Good news for Hawk fans. END.

Who is the NFC's Best?
by: Michael Steffes
Ok, today seems like a perfect today to do this, so I have updated the Seahawk Addicts Power Rankings.
I have made the decision to change the format a bit. Rather than debating the top 15 teams or so, I decided that, for now, we shouldn't even worry about the AFC. To stay congruent with what the Hawks focus should be, I have changed the power rankings to NFC Power Rankings.
For one, you no longer have to sort through all the AFC team crammed into the top because of media bias. Now we can compare apples to apples. Also, I ranked based of talent, not other factors. You will see that St. Louis is ahead of San Fran, despite me picking San Fran to finish ahead of the Rams in the division. While I mention the Rams schedule, the talent is what earns them their ranking until the games are played. Anyway, here are the rankings...
So debate away... Thats what power ranks are meant to do. As always, tell us your logic so that readers understand where you are coming from and can debate back.
Also, with a slow day expected, if anybody has questions about all things Seahawks, I will be happy to give my opinion later in the day.
Also, if there is ever a question you have that you want me to be alerted to that isn't part of a normal conversation, use the special question mark that is part of the smiley faces. I have been meaning to alert readers to this as a way to say HEY MICHAEL ANSWER THIS FOOL! I believe the code is_ :?: _Use it!

On the Right Track
by: Michael Steffes
Ok, finally, here are some power rankings I can get behind. USA Today has released their initial pre-season power rankings. This is easily the most appropriate Seahawks ranking yet.
They have the Hawks ranked 7th overall. The Hawks are 3rd highest ranked NFC team behind the Giants and Cowboys.
In my opinion the Giants are going to be the most mis-ranked team. They did win the Superbowl, so I guess it is fair in a way. However, they have to prove to me that they are going to be a consistent team, and not just a team that got hot at the right time. Also, two other factors that are being ignored are Strahan's possible retirement and what that does to their pass rush, and the tough division they play in. Both could factor heavily into a return to mediocrity for the G-Men.
At least USA Today seems to take into account the Hawks desire to win one for coach, which will hopefully keep the team motivated through the tough stretches of the season. #7 seems fair to me, for now, but I expect the Hawks to finish out much higher, if not on top. END

Power Rankings: Pre Draft
Well, with free agency winding down, it is inevitable that we begin to see power rankings come out. The first of which has been submitted by Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.
He has the Hawks rated 9th, and seems to think Jones will do well for us. More importantly, we rank third as far as NFC teams go on his list.
I thought that this would be a great time to break out the Seahawk Addicts Pre Draft Power Rankings. To check em out....

I will do a full 32 team version weekly during the season, but for now I am lazy. Notice no one in the Hawks division is on the list, and I believe rightly so. Anyway, I wasn't conservative, so I am sure some of you may disagree.
