Free agency news has slowed to a crawl this week, but something Seahawks-related finally happened earlier today. According to Kevin Seifert of ESPN's NFC North blog, DL Anthony Hargrove has signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers. Hargrove was a rotational backup for Seattle last year, and in limited snaps proved to be one of the team's better pass rushers along the interior line. His best play came in week five against the Giants when he exploded through a hole left by a pulling guard to tackle the Giants' ballcarrier in the end zone for a safety, getting there so quickly I thought at first he would be penalized for being offsides (also, why would you ever pull the play-side guard on an off-tackle run when you're backed up behind your own goal line?). Hargrove is a quality player, and his contributions will be missed.
