I actually like the new comment system. Takes FOREVER to load though imo, i load the article, then wait for the system to actually load the profile and then the other comments lol

Anybody hear how Tru and Carlson are doing?

I think if one were to compare O-line play between the teams today, the reason we were manhandled is clear. This has kind of been a problem all year...

This was a great season. The team growth has been huge. Pete and John WILL bring in some serious FA's, esp. now that they see the Hawks are serious with the new management regime of Pete and Co.

2 or 3 starting FA's and maybe one or two starting draft picks, and IR's returning, and next year we will be a different team.

Hard to say if mattie is still at the helm, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Charlie or Nate as the starter.

Anyways, bring on the draft, and a new O-linemen.

@sluggo Both Carlson and Tru will stay overnight in Chicago, but signs are good that it's not more serious than a concussion in either case.

Although this loss sucks, It's a better season than I expected... I've just doubled down on the coolaid... Go Seahawks, thanks for inspiring hope this year...

well,
nobody wanted that early draft pick more than I did, but I'm now thinking that this game is good for the kids. They enjoyed playoff success, and now they feel playoff pain. This also shows them how bigger games are played.

I didn't think that getting this experience was as important as a better draft, but it MIGHT be. Time will tell.

I hate this new comment system too, its harder to use and harder to read. The old format was better and more user friendly. You guys had a great site, seriously change it back before it's too late.

Not sure what to say after this one, but #8 may be in AZ next year. Would be nice to play against him 2 times a year haha

These last scores aren't impressive, the Bears lightened up because they know the win is in the bag.

You know-it-alls just don't know football. Hass is predictable and our coaches have no interest in pounding the ball. Hass is a stale leader and needs to go so this team can finally move forward. If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.

magarren

PAHawkfan - you are right on. Hawkfan 80 is an idiot. Hass is the only person on the field playing worth a damn. The guy can't throw the ball to himself. 1 of these receivers needs to figure out how to catch the damn ball. They are getting hit in the hands just about every throw. If you want to get rid of someone, get rid of Chris Spenser. He is terrible. Absolutely the worst lineman on the field and the biggest reason we can't run the ball. My offseason wish list is for Pete to bring his former player Pyan Kalil to Seattle.

@magarren i have never been impressed by our line's play this year aside from Okungs great rookie season (forgetting about injuries). Today however, Locklear sttod out at the worst on the line to me. I NEVER saw him get even a small push. He almost always was stood immedietly up (although so was the rest of our line except Okung) and he lost all leverage and strength as he got thrown back into our RBs andinto Hass' lap. I would like to see Brandon Harris from miami in the first but we need to go after Mankins in free agency HARD! I would also like to see pursuit of Nnamdi and Vince Young. Then if Reggie Bush is a F/A we target him for the improved Leon Washington mold.
btw: would like to say to HF80- how can you say the last few TDs were because the Bears "lightened up"? They were playing deep coverage and we threw deep passes. Hass lit them up at the end because recievers said "oh, it's 1:00 pst? lets try now. I saw a completely different team when the clock struck 4:00 here so i strongly believe that a 4:00 start gives us this game EASY! Go over to some other blog and spread your nonsense and pointless wrong accusations of Hass. Without him we would not be ANYWHERE near where we are at this point. Yes we need to prepare to move on but Hass is in the top-5 post season QBs in the NFL and he used to be the same way in the regularseason.

I have been a Seahawks fan for most of my life, but I think I am at the end of my rope with them. How can you have such a large budget and produce such a chronic loser? I am sure glad they got their new stadium?!? I wonder if they will move to Oklahoma City. They need to start by getting rid of grandpa Hass and get some young blood. I would honestly rather watch NASCAR - there seems to be more skill there.

@hawksrlame "How can you have such a large budget and produce such a chronic loser?" Uh, easy: everyone else has the same budget.

@hawksrlame Agreed......Losers don't make it to the playoffs. Losers don't win playoff games. Losers post stupid messages on opponent's message boards.

HF80- ur an idiot. Hass has been on target on pretty much EVERY one of his throws. if the recievers dont drop those balls this is a COMPLETELY different game. Hass has played better than either of the QBs we've played in the playoffs!

Hawksfan80

The Bears pass coverage is on hence some of the so-called drops. Matt's slow drop back three steps and point where he's going to throw makes him the most predictable quarterback in the game. Any quarterback has one hit wonder games like last week and it's not enough reason to keep #8 around to torture Seahawk fans season after season.

KoolAidMan

@Hawksfan80 stop calling yourself a seahawks fan or find something else to talk about. YOU are the most predictable poster ever!

PAhawkfan
PAhawkfan

only way we stay in this is a quick score here and then a turnover at the start of the second half that we get 7 off of. Carlson's lost hurts a LOT. He was one of the keys to this game imo

PAhawkfan
PAhawkfan

pathetic job on both sides of the ball. Makes me feel like despite the big win last week, sacrificing 20 draft spots was horrible. To get utterly dominated on a national level and watch as our "sure handed" recievers drop balls that are easy catches and Babs misses on TWO easy interceptions (one overthrown ball that he ran up for a tackle and the one that hit him in the hands). I no longer know what position is more important, offensive line, reciever, or corner. Though im thinking corner, if our o-line was better maybe we could run the ball rather than allowing our recievers to drop pass after pass (as im writing this 2 dropped passes)

SergeantLenny
SergeantLenny

Horrible game, we've seen how the Hawks play in snow games (Green Bay), hopefully they can get at least a field goal so it's not a complete domination.

Bears showing why they earned a week off...

Seahawks showing why they can't play in the morning for some reason...

#8 needs to lead, the team is down right now and a leader would be able to suck it up and just LEAD not pout. Granted the WR's, TE need to catch the damn ball...

GnarlyHawk

10 AM start road hawks showed up today. Should have known that would happen given statistics. Matt is doing his part, looks like our boys can't catch w/ cold hands.

Lets hope for something to happen that keeeps us from getting shut out in a playoff game.

dj_meatwad
dj_meatwad

Can't win a game if you can't catch the ball. I've counted 4 drops so far, 3 on offense and 1 on defense (of an easy pick).

Game over, man, GAME OVER. No way in hell they come back from 21-0. Reality is setting in ...

GnarlyHawk
GnarlyHawk

oh boy. matt has frustrated sad face. granted, its understandable given the drops etc. but he needs to lead now more than ever. not get down.

sluggo
sluggo

Carlson was strapped down hard, I hope it's all precautionary and that he's ok.

Morrah dropped an important pass right afterwards. This game isn't the time to drop easy catches...

Good punt, time for some D !!

oh no...
please please please be ok....

ok here we go.

There has been 0% of media love for the Hawks all week, for that matter, for the last 3 weeks, despite winning. For in their minds, they still see the team as they were before the St. Louis game.
Somehow, nobody seems to have noticed that "they are a different team now"

"They are a different team" then they were when Seattle beat them the first time. This is what EVERY media person has said, and NOBODY is giving the Hawks a snowball in Hells chance.

The funny part is that the Hawks aren't the same team either, but nobody mentions that. And that is what is so funny about the whole thing. Do they really think that the Hawks are going to run the same game plan this time around? See the Hawks have the entire second half of the season of Bear games to study, but the Bears only have one game to look at, and that was last weeks game.

Do they think we will put 6-8 guyus in the box, and run a blitz every play? Or do they think we will run a 3 man rush?

I personally believe that our coaches will outcoach their coaches, I believe that the pressure will be playing heavy on Cutlers shoulders, and Martz will melt down into his pass happy ways.

Pete will have a solid gameplan that will exploite the Bears weaknesses. The Hawks will score quickly, and the Bears will fold under the weight of the world on their shoulders for there is NO WAY that they lose this game to the 7-9 Hawks.

Because they aren't the same team...
