A few tidbits from today's practice:
- Justin Forsett will be the starter in Week One vs. the 49ers. "That doesn't mean he'll get the most carries," explains Pete Carroll, just that he's earned the right to be the first RB to get a start.
- Chester Pitts was the starting left tackle in practice today, an excellent sign for his recovery, maybe not so excellent sign for Russell Okung. Clare Farnsworth noted that the Seahawks' first pick in April will not be back from his high ankle sprain in time to play on Sunday. Tyler Polumbus will compete with Pitts to start at LT. Recall that Polumbus started half of Denver's games last year.
- Despite all the craziness this weekend, the starting line in practice today -- and we can assume on Sunday -- was Pitts - Gibson - Spencer - Unger - Locklear. All of them were on the roster last week and four of them were the projected starters for week one.
- Mike Williams will wear #17.
- A must-read from Danny O'Neil: Carroll comments on Gibbs' departure.
