Sorry for reporting this article slowly....
G Rob Sims is wanted by the Chicago Bears according to the Chicago Tribune. The Chicago Tribune also reported that the Bears' DE Alex Brown could possibly be traded to the Seahawks as compensation instead of a 4th round pick. According to the Chicago Sun Times however, Seattle does not want Alex Brown at all.
The Seahawks have a need for a pass rusher, especially after trading Darryl Tapp to the Philadelphia Eagles and losing Cory Redding in free agency. The Seahawks are believed to be far more interested in the draft pick. That would be three 4th round picks for the Seahawks if the Sims deal went through.
What can we all conclude from this late breaking news???? Same ole thing as the past week... Sims is going to be traded or signed by some other team some time within the next few months.

Halkboy: Bleacher Report and "good piece" are pretty much oxymoronic.

Mark my word, Te'o-Nesheim barring some other team picking him up in the 3rd, or us only having one 4th due to a trade with Denver will be in Seahawk blue and green.

A draft strategy may be emerging here. It is beginning to appear to me that the 'Hawks will address their offensive line needs in the 4th round.
They are looking for 300 lbs. smart, athletic guys in the later rounds, and working hard to identify them right now.

So lets look at some of the prospects that could be available at sixty. At WR expect to see Brandon LaFell,Arrelious Benn,Marty Gilyard,Damian Williams land somewhere in second round.
At CB if the Hawks wanted an upgrade they sure could find one here.A few guys that may be around at sixty are Patrick Robinson,Devin McCourty,Perrish Cox,Brandon Ghee and Syd Quan Thompson.
Safety is another position that is wide open in the second look for Morgan Burnett,Chad Jones,Larry Asante, and Nate Allen as possible Seahawks.
And now to the position I think the Hawks will use in the second is RB.Not sure who will be there at sixty but these guys will go sometime in the second.Jonathan Dwyer,Jahvid Best,Joe McKnight,Toby Gerhart,Ben Tate,Anthony Dixon and LeGarrette Blount.
My guess would be either between Anthony Dixon or Ben tate.I think any one of these two guys would impact this team in a positive light. What do guys think.

I for one am hoping the Hawks end up with 10 to 12 picks by the time the draft is over.

Hawksmack of all those recievers you named I personally doubt any fall to 60. One however I really like is Andre Roberts. If he went to an actual football school insted of the Citadel I think he would be a solid second round talent, insted of being an after thought to most people. He tore it up at the senior bowl, and proved he can play against the best.
Corner and safety are so deep I think we can get a solid player in rounds 3-4. With all those fourth round picks I think trading up may be part of the plan. I'm sure there will be solid players in round 4, but if a Nate Allen or Morgan Burnett take a fall into the third I really wouldn't be surprised if we traded up. Our staff is doing a great job of keeping our options open come draft day.

1. Bradford, Rams have to go QB here since Bulger has regressed into David Carr.
2. Okung, Stafford is the franchise so they have to protect him especially after he ended the season on IR. The Corey Williams trade eliminates DT need here.
3. McCoy, fits the Tampa 2 system better than Suh. No way they go DE. They get Warren Sapp 2.0 here. McCoy is also younger and healther than Suh.
4. Clausen, Shanahan makes his stamp on his new team.
5. Bulaga, No way KC takes a DL in the top 5 for 3 years straight. Piloi knows value and goes for the top LT on the board, must protect the 3rd highest paid QB in the NFL at all costs.
6. Suh, Gotta go with him here.
I am pretty confidant we get one of the DTs at 6. Tampa may take Suh but I doubt it.
