A little off topic but are there any big time DE's or even DEs that could fit our scheme in next years draft? If Kerney comes back healthy couldnt we look for a DE of the future next draft and utilize our 14th pick on offense because i assume were using 6 for D!(and i agree) We can fill the need for DE possibly later in this years draft if theres depth at that position. Just looking for opinions?
Check this out (do we know of any 4.48 fast TEs?):

Hawksince,

Vernon Davis of the 9ers runs in the 4.3 range. But he is more machine than man so he doesn't count.

You never know, this guy might be the next Antonio Gates with that type of skill set. Worth a late round selection IMO.

Wow say what you will about Hill deciding to fall asleep at an intersection, at least (I hope smilies/smiley.gif)hes not as dumb as Shaun Rodgers...

Onobun is most definitely a glorified WR, nothing more. With only 16 Bench reps, he's probably only a stop-gap blocker, fine for taking a DB out of a play, but not the kind of guy who's gonna block a DT or DE.

Still, thats damn fast for even a hybrid TE. What are his measurables--height and weight?

Omar--Yeah, Rogers is a Stone Fool for sure. But everyone knew that allready. He's a regular Sam Adams, only dumber. When he wants to, he can utterly dominate and take over the game. But he doesnt seem to want to anymore.

Anthony Davis (OT, Rutgers) only did 5 more bench reps than that smilies/cheesy.gif
OTA'S

Does anyone know when the OTA'S are?
We signed a kicker to compete w/ Mare
written by gnarlyhawks, April 01, 2010
Interesting thing about the signing
written by gnarlyhawks, April 01, 2010
Sounded odd at first, but these statements made it interesting to say the least...

"Keller was given a secret workout by the Seahawks this week and showed he still has the leg to make the transition to football, driving several kickoffs 80 yards and also was splitting the uprights on field goal attempts from 60 yards.

“And I can do more than kick,” said the 6-foot-2, 198-pound Keller. “I can punt and I can catch the ball, too. We’ll just see how it goes.”

Neither Seahawks nor Sounders management could comment, because the details on Keller’s NFL contract have not been finalized – including a rare stipulation where his base salary will not count against the Seahawks’ salary cap because of his deal with the Sounders. "

Really nice insurance policy for Mare, if something unfortunate happened.
Justin Forsett

Here is not a April Fools prank, Pete Carroll saying the Forsett could start in 2010

I would hope Forsette gets the start, he proved himself to be more than qualified to handle the starting job last season. Anyone that ran aa 5 yard average behind our line last year deserves to start.

I'm really hoping to see a Forsett/Hardesty combo in the backfield this next season.
STTBM, hasn't played the position very much, but here are his measurables:
written by Hawksince77, April 01, 2010
6-5 1/2, 252-pound tight end impressed NFL scouts with his athleticism, scoring an invite not just from the Seahawks, but from the New York Giants, as well.

This might not be a good thing, Lams looking at Marshall.

Hawksince77--Thanks! He sounds like a beast! I bet we dont end up with him though, we allready have four TE's on the roster--though we will only keep 2-3 and I dont see Caroll spending a pick on him when we have Carlson and Baker, unless he isnt willing to nurture Morrah for another year on the practice squad. Still, 252 lbs and a 4.48?! Holy crap, thats faster than Dez Bryant, who's smaller and shorter! And his agility is crazy too.

USAF--Lambs suck! They just want to make sure Seattle doesnt get Marshall cheap. Well, Seattle can and will return the favor, buttholes! If they want him, they are gonna have to pay some hefty prices in picks and salary. WHy cant teams just allow teams to negotiate in good faith, why this driving up the price business? Its almost as sleazy as Al Davis deliberately overpaying players just to raise the going rate for a position in order to stick it to some poorer (I feel sick using that word in regards those with a net worth over half a billion dollars but you get my drift) owners he is pissed at.

Good move by the Rams if they can get Denver to accept.
Taking Marshall is risky. But if he stays out of trouble, he can make any QB look good - even a rookie.

I think that if the Rams are going to use 33 we could get Marshal and Broncos 3rd round pick for #14
I think they would rather trade a 3rd for 14 than take #33.
It is worth around 300 more draft chart points. Im just saying.
Maybe I don't like giving up a first for Marshal but not having Marshal and playing against him 2 times a year for the next 8 to 10 years would suck way worse than giving up our 2nd first round pick.
Seahawks add competition for kicker job!
written by Farmer Paul, April 01, 2010
Seahawks signed All Star goalkeeper from the Sounders FC Kasey Keller to compete against Olindo Mare. I'm excited about this because Kasey Keller is an amazing kicker and obviously an incredible soccer player. During the soccer season he will still be able to participate in camps. AWESOME!

Leroy Hill
written by LouieLouie, April 01, 2010
I know that it is illegal, but I don't get why the NFL makes such a big deal over pot. Unlike steroids, it doesn't give anybody a competitive advantage.

If it does, maybe they should pass it out in high schools. Oh that's right, high school kids can already get as much pot as they want.

April fools much Keller fans?

I didn't even read the article, but the people who posted it should check the date. Hahaha they gotcha

No really, they have youtube footage of Arizona's kicker booting 80 yard field goals! Iknow its true!

Seriously, if the Keller thing is a joke, thats awesome!! Good one!
