...the Jaguars! Another one crossed off the list of potential Seahawk signings. Still unsure how much interest there was on our side.

Well you know what? Kampman is another player who will miss out on the privilege of the wonderful experience of being apart of the Seahawks, the Seahawk fans, & this city. If no one is interested in playing for this great franchise then they are not worth it....Burleson included (Hometown boy my ass, jumped ship imediately without hesitation...no loyalty)

If nothing else, this should increase the chances of Derrick Morgan dropping to us at 14, if we wanted to go that route.

You're right it does affect the draft.
No UFA DE's? Good!

One-hit wonders, or worse, are not our priority right now. Been there, spent that. I, too, am glad we are not signing there defensive linemen. A guard, however, would be good....

This draft class is deep with DL anyways. We can get a contributor in the 3rd round. I think OL, and a skill position like RB are still the priority. Then we go for DB

i dont get why people think we need to draft a frickin RB early, forsett was great last year, whenever he was called upon, he showed up, he is very elusive and veryveryvery powerful, usually when he gets hit he'll keep going for 8 more yards or hell break the tackle... he is a great back and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to get their brain checked... plus if we sign mike bell, we have a bigger, short yardage back.. and would even like the idea of signing TJ duckett, he would make a great shortyardage back.. but seriously people, how can yyou think we need to draft a RB in the fuckin first three rounds, the only 2 RB's i wouldnt be totally pissed about are Ben Tate or Ryan Matthews,
thank you come again

K, so I think we need a DT more than a DE. Tapp had one of the highest # of QB pressures in the leage with minimal play time and Jackson is going to improve to 7 or 8 sacks this year I am sure. If they both get the play time instead of old vets this year I see them getting 7 to 10 sacks a piece. If this is the case I see no DE in this draft or any other draft improving much on that. We allready have talent and youth at the position of DE. DT we have nothing but Mebane, if we pick up another it will give Tapp a Jackson a chance to be productive. DE's need DT's to be productive and DT's being productive means some sacks, but after that comes more double teams freeing up any other person going for the QB. Mebane does this, but we need another.

Just did a couple hours research on possible landing spots for Brandon Marshall. The only teams with a need at wide reciever, any kind of internet buzz, and the draft picks capable of making a move are:

1. New York Giants, 1st round pick
2. Washington Redskins, 37th and 100th

Neither had local newspaper buzz, and Washington is practically a tie with us as far as trade value. I also highly doubt Shanahan is going to go after Marshall. New York, is a dark horse, but I really doubt they go after him, seeing how they spent so many picks on WR's last year. They have other needs.

Denver needs to wake up and realize we know all they have in their hand is a pair of fours, their is nobody else at the table, and we've got a strait in our hands. Shut up and take the 2nd rounder, because it's the best your gonna do!

Kampman would have been a nice pickup. I'm just glad the Hawks didn't throw a ton of money at Julius Peppers.

I thought the moves the Bears were kinda familiar: they spent a boatload on an aging defensive end, another big wad of cash to an over-30 running back and then added a blocking tight end for good measure.

Almost makes me wonder if Tim Ruskell works for them :-)

written by Hawksmack, March 07, 2010
Tebow has private work out scheduled with the Hawks.Could be an option at 40.I will shot myself if they use one of our first round picks on him.I have never been that impressed with Tebow but hey the kid could develop into something great.
