Sounds like the Julius Peppers rumors are bunk. Not a huge shock, really. A couple of guys I could see us targeting and potentially getting:
- Aaron Kampman - makes sense; he was a standout in the 4-3 DE role before being hodgepodged over to a 3-4 LB. Coming off a serious injury though.
- Ryan Clark - the lesser known free safety from Pittsburgh. He is solid, but lacks the measurables that jump out at you. He rarely makes mistakes and never misses tackles. That would be a step up from Babs.
- Leigh Bodden - an excellent press corner with size and big play ability.
[UPDATE] More "news" from Jason LaCanfora; the Seahawks are interested in both Kampman and Vanden Bosch... This might suggest that they don't like the DE talent in the draft, and honestly, I don't either. Cool!
