Adam Schefter, ESPN, just announced via his Twitter page that the Seahawks have released Safety Deon Grant. Grant's release was not much of a surprise given he still has $17 million in non-guaranteed money owed in the final three years of his original six-year pact. Grant recorded 234 tackles (187 solo), eight interceptions and one fumble recovery in three seasons for the Seahawks.

He has also announced that Seahawks have re-signed DE Darryl Tapp to his RFA qualifying offer contract. Tapp will receive his $1.2 million salary for this new season.
