I have been reading numerous web sites looking for information on the Seahawks' practice today and here is a few I came up with for your reading pleasure:
Mike Sando of ESPN.com has probably the best notes so far from practice. A few notes that stood out to me from his article were Deion Branch actually having a great practice, Julius Jones running with the first unit, and RB Quinton Gather running over a defensive back with ease. Of course we will have to see if Branch can actually make it through a few days of practice.
Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times states that Matt Hasselbeck looked great today. Danny states, "Matt Hasselbeck stood out clearly on Day 1. He was impressive both in reads and accuracy." Danny also has a great video from after practice with Leon Washington.
Eric Williams of the Tacoma News Tribune said, "Offensive tackle Russell Okung and safety Earl Thomas were nowhere to be found. Ray Willis played left tackle with the first unit today, and Jordan Babineaux and Lawyer Milloy manned the safety positions." Some things that stood out for me in Eric's article were that TE John Carlson was a center of attention for Matt Hasselbeck (It should have been that way from day #1), Golden Tate beat Marcus Trufant with a spectacular catch, LB Aaron Curry was a force to be reckon with coming off the left side (of course that was against Ray Willis), and WR Mike Williams was looking great.
Take a read at those articles and let us know what you think about the morning practice today. More to come soon and hopefully the next article today will be a signing of one of the first rounders!
