Not a lot of news so far today but this little article here has DE Roderick Green trying out for Seahawks. Green is a former Ravens fifth-round draft pick from the 2004 NFL draft who played at Central Missouri. In five NFL seasons, Green has registered 45 tackles and a dozen sacks. It looks like Seattle may just want depth at that position.

The article says that Roderick weighs at 274. I recall this kid weighing around 250-255 when he came into the league. That's a significant weight gain, if it's true.
UFL?

Uh, this dude played in the UFL last season. Wow. Why don't we start going to Burger King's and trying to pick up new talent too. Terrible.

What may happen to some existing DE's. Obviously a depth move to provide competition at the position.

Regarding UFL... So what, if he can play he can play. Kurt Warner came from the UFL. Ricky Williams played there too, he turned out OK when he went back to Miami. Only point here, is we don't know enough about anyone or what the staff needs him for, to make such negative assumptions.

UFL and CFL are different Gnarly...but I get your point smilies/smiley.gif

UFL is that new league that was started this year that had the 4 teams...and like 6 or 8 game schedule or something like that.

Tru's brother played for one of the teams, I think Vegas?

Gnarlyhawks,

He came from the UFL, not the CFL as you mentioned Warner and Ricky Williams had played in. Just wanted to let you know you are wrong, and they are definitely, clearly, not the same league.

Peppers?
written by Scooter, February 09, 2010
Any chance the 'Hawks go after Julius Peppers? They've shown the willingness to spend on a big-name DE at least twice before.

Just what we need, ANOTHER good but aging DE finishing his career here...what are we, the graveyard for DE's? Wistron, Fisher, Kearney...why not Peppers?

Not that its great bews for the team. But how can anyone be upset that we worked someone out regardless of who they are or where they played?
