I'm very uncomfortable with this, very very uncomfortable. Still, the facts remain: it is all but a certainty that Pete Carroll will be the next coach of your Seattle Seahawks. Pat Kirwan was just on Sirius radio insinuatig that he and Carroll are a package deal, so look for him as your next GM.
What do you think? I'll be working on some big write-ups on both of them for later. I need some hope from ya'll, this isn't at all how I envisioned the day going.
Update: The more I look into Kirwan, the more he makes no sense as a GM. I'm now thinking of him coming on as President of Football Operations, with Carroll taking GM and Coach titles. The Seahawks officially split the President and GM roles today, Danny O'Neil reported.
Update 2: Leslie Frazier has apparently decided to interview with the Seahawks after all. Might we have a DC/Assistant HC position on the table? This feels messy. Hawks can't hire anyone until a minority is interviewed via the Rooney Rule.
