In related news, standout special teams player Sean Morey is visiting the Hawks. He would be an upgrade.
NFP reported Laury, Adam Caplan reported Morey. Phoneblogging sucks.

When are we going to hear other big news.
Lets trade Spencer (2nd or 3rd), Sims (3rd or 4th), Kerney (5th or 6th), Cole and Jones (7th combined), Branch (4th or so).
This week has been exciting keep it up. Whether we like all of the moves this has been one of the most active intense weeks in Seahawk FA history.

That's a fair trade!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets see if we could at least pick up .......!!!!
I could see the entire team being different players besides Lawrence Jackson, Curry, Hill, Tatupu, Unger and maybe one or two others in the next couple years. I figure if they are going to be gone after this season, which we wont be highly competitive in, we might as well get something for them. Whatever that is.

I still really like the sound of trading our 14th to the chargers for #28 and #40. It brings up alot of option mainly we are back in the brandon marshall sweepstakes which I would really like.
Whitehurst said it himself that he would really like the seahawks to go for marshall.

Word around WHAT places?

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll suggested Thursday that Charlie Whitehurst will be given the opportunity to push Matt Hasselbeck for the starting quarterback job this season.
"Charlie is coming in here to battle," said Carroll. "He's going to show where he fits into the whole thing." Though Carroll pointed out that Hasselbeck is leading the offense, he qualified it by adding that Whitehurst "is going to take his shot at it every turn." Whitehurst's rate of development in the new offense will determine how quickly he can give Hasselbeck a run for his money. We still expect Whitehurst to open the season on the bench if Hasselbeck remains with the team.
Sounds like they're looking to shop Matt, or they wouldn't have said "if Hass remains with the team".
Thoughts??

I would only do this if we could not get Mccoy at 6th overall. #6 will not be part of a trade until draft day if then.

We can trade back to #9 (Bills) and still probably get McCoy. I've read that McCoy only fits 4-3 defenses so you assume that Buffalo, and Cleveland both pass on him and Oakland will likely pass also since they have greater needs elsewhere than DL and especially at DT. So if we trade back or pass on McCoy may take a HUGE fall. He may even fall to 14 if Jacksonville passes on him since Denver, Miami and San Fran all run 3-4's, which is unlikley since they had a league low sack count.

Omar, don't get me wrong, I like the idea of trading back. However I the opportunity presents it self a #6 for Mccoy I would not trade back 3 spaces giving other teams a chance to trade up and high jack our man. What guy that is going to go in the 3rd round is worth loosing Mccoy. As I said I like trading back and getting more picks but if the guy you want is there you take him unless you get a trade that you can't resist. If say Miami wanted to trade up and give us there 2nd as well that would be something that is impossible to reject. Picking up #12 and 43 would be an insane trade in our favor and something worth hoping that Mccoy falls to us instead of taking him when he is guaranteed.

By the way I no it wont happen but imagine if the above did happen.
We would then have picks #12, 14, 43 and 60. Then we could hope for the Marshal deal that has been talked about with #14 or we trade 14 for 28 and 40.
Our draft would then look like this
12
28 or (Marshal)
40
43
60
101
Maybe 102 if Cleveland signs Sims Tender
124
135
166
197

Looks like the Cardinals are trying to fill all their holes that FA opened up for them.
-They lose Rolle, then go out and get Rhodes
-They lose Dansby, then go out and get Porter
-Lose Boldin, but have Breasten and Doucet to step up in his place
Starting to look like all the excitement I had over the downfall of the Cardinals is starting to deaden a little. I know that Warner is irreplacable and they will feel that loss, but bring in Porter fills a huge need with a 4-time Pro-bowler. I was hoping Dockett would be gone by now.
I've run into so many terrible, bandwagon Cardinal fans the last two years, so my passion for watching the utter destruction of the Cardinals is second only to my love for the hawks.

The whole card team was Kurt Warner. They will not be the same at all, probably ever given their history, without him. None of the moves they made in FA are really impressive. Derek Anderson sucks, Rhodes is a slacker and a locker room cancer, Porter is not a solid starter at all anymore, and I'll reserve judgement on Doucet but I doubt he is a Boldin type player.
Its down to us and the 9ers, but I don't think an Alex Smith led team will ever be a good team.

The NFC west is up for grabs, I agree with you omar I do not like AZ's quarterback situation, which kind of makes the Whitehurst trade look a little better. Not letting him go to them where he would probably start since Leinart sucks. The Rams still suck and the 9'ers don't have a qb either. This may be the worst division of all time, we have a very uncertain quarterback situation, but still may have the best 2 qb's in the league. Kind of weird to think of.

Lance Laury was our special teams captain for a reason. over the past two years he made 71.5% of the tackles on special teams. 71.5%! how do you replace that?
if Sean Morey can provide 72% then okay but i doubt he will.
i see this as a loss.

In terms of the similarity of the marks, ysl shoes has not shown that the use of the word Christian ysl boots , when heard or viewed in the totality of a radio ad, brochure, or counter display, was likely to cause confusion. For many reasons, the use of the word jimmy choo shoes in the context of these two promotions would have seemed utterly unexceptional.
