Via PFT, Sirius radio host and general NFL savant Pat Kirwan is interviewing for a position with the Seahawks, though it is unclear whether it is for the GM role or another front office position. One thing is clear though: Mike Florio is annoying.

Not sure what to think?
written by Texashawk, January 14, 2010
What is his NFL credentials? I know he has been GM in the past but wasn't it to very mixed or poor results? After knapp I am leary about hiring your "Best Friend" senerios. Is he just another no nothing talking head or should we be excited and have confidence in him. I worry that some people will be excited simply because they know who he is, but that does not make him the right man for the job. Well...Not really sure what to think, time will tell!

I keep reading articles that he's an "NFL Genius"... as an analyst no doubt, I liked his show as well. But as a GM or a Yes-man to Carroll? Obviously these two together didn't work out so hot in the past, though maybe there were other influences typing his hands. If they put a winner on the field, then he'll earn my trust... but not till then.
Kirwan was never a GM for Pete Carroll before

He was a friend and confidant. Kirwan never worked as GM when Carroll was coach. That was part of the problem. They guy they had was terrible, and eventually he got fired and i think that is when Kirwan got his shot. All you have to do is listen to Kirwan to know he is a smart football mind. Right now the Hawks should get as many smart football minds who work well with Carroll in the building.

Also, people assume he is a "yes" man. I doubt that is why PC has him around. From listening to PC does he sound like the kind of guy who appreciates people who blindly agree with him. No, they share his philosophy yes, but he probably appreciates people who challenge him so he can learn and grow as well. As a friend and confidant, my guess is Kirwan is more comfortable telling Carroll when he is making a mistake. Probably because they have known each other so long. Do you think someone like Omar Kahn would feel as comfortable doing that? No... cause Carroll holds more clout in the organization than he would.

Floyd Reese, and ...?

According to LaCanfora, it's down to Floyd Reese and someone else. I hope that the someone else is either Schneider or Ross based on what I've read about them.

According to Seahawks Insider, (sorry, I'm an idiot who can't link), Kirwan is interviewing to be an advisor to Carroll, not GM. The latest I've read says it's down to Reese and Schneider. I'd be ok with Schneider, but I'd be really happy with Reese.

As you may see from this, I pay much attention for the brand—even though the particular baggage I purchased aren't authentic.replica perrlet watches. Yes, because the particular costs with the custom made baggage are often beyond my spending budget, and my enthusiasm is so high, I can only treat myself together with replicas instead. (At present) That wouldn't alter my attitude for the vogue baggage. Please allow me to state my private opinions.
