So does nobody hold the title of Assistant Head Coach this year?

And there it is. I've been surprised by my own hesitation to get excited about this new regime. I was all on board last year.... Maybe the brief Mora regime left me a bit jaded. Excited to see what moves we make in the offseason, and as always, go HAWKS!

Wow! 20 coaches on the staff. Let's hope that translates into a lot more individual scrutiny and attention to detail. It speaks well of Carroll that he can administrate and coordinate such a large staff (if he can). I can't wait to see them in action.

This list obviously means nothing to me. I don't know alot of these names. But I'm excited that most of these coaches were offered coordinator jobs at other big time programs and they turned them down to work with us. Hopefully they command respect. I heard an interview with shaun alexander where he said Mora failed because the team was used to Holmgrens "larger than life" persona. They felt like they were amongst greatness and they knew that Holmgren had a plan and KNEW what he was doing. THey trusted everything he did. not with Mora. I think we have that again here. Carroll, if nothing else, is a breath of fresh air.

For those of us who have been following the Seahawks since the beginning how cool is it to have Sherman Smith back in Seattle? Is Don Dufek coaching special teams anywhere?

Over at TNT, Eric Williams has each coach's complete resume, if anyone's interested.

BTW At the blog, Williams picture makes him look like a football player, but I saw a short interview of him on Fox Sports Northwest and I swear he reminds me of the geeky Eddie Murphy character in the movie Bowfinger (hilarious movie). So much so that it makes me wonder if Murphy met Eric Williams and was imitating him!

When I saw the list of Mora's coaching staff, my thought was: "well, I hope these guys can get it done." No excitement at all. This year, I'm excited by Gibbs, Norton, Gray and Brown...solid guys who've had success. Let's hope these guys can get it done...
