Nate Burleson was on KJR with Softy this afternoon where he suggested that while he will be hitting free agency and listening to all-comers, he wants to stay in Seattle and will give the Seahawks the chance to meet any offer.

...Worthy of his middling production and injury-prone-ness, and that sounds good to me. The guy is a decent enough talent, but really hasnt done anything to warrant much money. He's only average

Dude, enough of Tate. I get you like the guy, but he really is ONLY a mediocre talent. I don't care if you talk him up, but do it in the proper thread instead of promoting him on every piece published.

I do think we need Burly for atleast one more year. Branch needs to go and if we can get him for a decent price, I say keep him until we are in a position to grab a true replacement. Next year is that time for me. I don't want to use #14 on a WR and I think next years WR class is much better anyways.

I suspect we'll keep Burly unless someone offers him insane money..

We've way overpaid him, now it's time to lowball him or show him the door. I do agree that we are thin at many positions and shouldn't dispose of any pieces, but he has to come at the right price.

Nate is a passable #2 WR,I hope he comes back he is productive when healthy. The way I see it if any player wants to stay they would just stay.Contracts in the NFL are not garunteed..less the garunteed up front money, ask Alexander.

Nate has the talent to be a number 2, but the incosistency of a number 3. Problem is, he's no good out of the slot.

Offer him $2 million a year for two years, and if he doesnt like it let him walk.

He lost some speed and agility to his knee injury, and he isnt physical enough. At this stage of his career, he wont improve. With him, what you've seen is what you'll get...except diminishing returns are likely.

Personally, I would rather see us draft a WR with one of our top 3 picks and let them and Butler learn onfield, especially since we likely wont be much of a threat to go deep in the playoffs. Then we could also bring in a lower-round WR with size and speed who's perhaps raw and from a smaller school and coach them up. I would rather see young guys get some playing time than keep roster spots hogged by aging fading underachievers.

No reason to bother with drafting a WR until we get a quarterback who can utilize good receivers. Keep Nate because he and Hass are both so slow their timing is actually syncronized.
Matt & Nate for one more year

Unless the Hawks can get something for him as part of a trade for Marshall, he's Matt's most familiar reciever and can offer some stibility in the choas of rebuilding the Seahawks.
