Pete Carroll on NFL Radio just said that Gus Bradley will remain defensive coordinator of your Seattle Seahawks and Dan Quinn will stay with the defensive line. Secondary is to be decided, but he teased that he will be "lights out." Shawn Merriman? Ha!

Bear in mind, before being disappointed in Bradley staying, that Carroll will run the defense and call the plays if history is any precedent. Also, Bradley was not the problem last year so much as his HC and the players. And the offense. And the lunar cycles. And the...

UPDATE: Jerry Gray has been offered the secondary coach position. No word on whether he'll accept. He holds the same spot for the Redskins currently.

I like this situation. Gus and PC learned from the same guru and will have similar ideas. With PC calling the plays, it will help Gus to grow and develop even further. Eventually, I think Gus will have a great career and I'm glad that we didn't give up on him too early.

I guess we should thank Mora for bringing him on board. I'm not sold on Dan Quin. Our D line wasn't so good last year....

I like this a lot it should make the transition easer. At times last year Bradley looked like he might of been in over his head, but who can tell from there front room. This is two Defensive minded coaches that have picked him for DC so far, that cant be bad.

Im glad Bradley got another chance, though I feel he wasnt/isnt ready to be a real DC-but with Caroll running things and calling the defensive adjustments, it should work out well.

I hope its better than last seasons defense!

Gray is good, but the douche interviewed for the HC job behind his bosses back. Thats as slimy as it gets. Not only that, he did it knowing he was only the token minority. Doesnt sound like a trusworthy guy to me.

But who's to say what was going on there? I would be the first to admit I havent a clue. All I can say is I hope Seattle's front office knows what they are doing hiring this guy.

It looks to me like our coaches are way better than last years group already. Sad to see Solari leave, but Gibbs is an upgrade and Carroll is definitely an upgrade from Mora. I hear great things about Bates and I'm hoping that we land Marshall for cheap. I don't care about his character issues as long as we win.... It seemed like nobody could stop him even though there were no other options for Orton to go to when Denver was playing, so if we have Marshall, Housh, Burleson, Carlson, and Butler,.... man, I'd say we've got one of the best receiving corps in the league. Who do you double up? That is exciting. If we can get our O-line to give Matt time to find these guys, we are right back in the hunt. Our D isn't too far off. With PC calling the shots and adjustments, we should be good while developing Bradley into something special for the future. Who knows, when PC retires, Bradley could probably showcase himself enough to become HC. Just saying....
