Both Sam Bradford and Jimmy Clausen had been taking knocks for months over their size, Bradford for being too thin, Clausen for being too short. Well, good news: those issues are resolved.

Sam Bradford measured in at 6042 or 6 feet, 04 inches and 2/8 (1/4). That's pretty good size for a QB. More importantly, he came in at 236 on the scales, with the additional 14 lbs from his listed weight last year coming from muscle.

Jimmy Clausen had been knocked around for being too short, with a lot of people thinking he would come in a hair under 6'1" rather than the 6'3" he was reported as all year. Well, he just measured in a 6025 (6'2" 5/8) and 222, which should get people to stop worrying about his height; generally, a "clean" QB prospect is 6'2" and about 220 lbs. Manchurian Candidate much?

Other measurements of note, from Brian McIntyre via Daniel Jeremiah:

Colt McCoy, Texas - 6011, 216 pounds
Jevan Snead, Mississippi - 6030, 219 pounds
Tim Tebow, Florida - 6026, 236 pounds

Dez Bryant, Oklahoma State - 6020, 225 pounds (34" arms, 9 3/4" hands)
Dezmon Briscoe, Kansas - 6020, 207 pounds
Arrelious Benn, Illinois - 6010, 219 pounds
Jordan Shipley, Texas - 5112, 193 pounds
Golden Tate, Notre Dame - 5102, 199 pounds
Demaryius Thomas, Georgia Tech - 6032, 224 pounds
Damian Williams, USC - 6005, 197 pounds
Mike Williams, Syracuse - 6014, 221 pounds

Ive been a Jimmy Clausen fan since the game agaisnt our beloved huskies. And im telling you this guy is NFL ready quarterback! We need to get him at 6, or even better if hes their at 14 but it is unlikley. Anways we should go for peppers and a good size cornerback in free agency and trade for marchall, let nate go, and get CLAUSEN!!!!! We need a backup, we can give him a year to learn the system under matt.

I agree about the FA... almost. I want Bodden, but I don't really want Peppers. He slacks off WAY too much to pay him the kinda cash he will be demanding. Along the same line, I love the idea of Marshall, but I heard on ESPN radio that Denver is looking for a 1st and a 3rd for him. No thanks, that is WAY too much for a prima donna.

I'm not nearly as optimistic about Clausen as you are, but there is one upside to drafting him... ever since Ruskell left STTBM hasn't been able to go off on his Timmay comments. So... he could have a replacement of Jimmay!!
