20 August 2010
We have all been waiting for Leon Washington to show his stuff since the Seahawks acquired him in the 2010 draft. Well, our wait is over: in the game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday the 21st, Leon will get some playing time. He'll be in on some running plays, but we will not get to see his kick returning skills so that will have to come later. Coach Carroll had this to say about Washington:
“We’re really excited about Leon playing this week,” Carroll said. “And he’s had terrific preparation for hit. He’s been banged around plenty of times here, been knocked off his feet and has been tackled plenty of times here. He’s ready to go at this point, so we’ll see where he is.”
Hopefully Leon does very well and quashes all the rumors of the Seahawks trading for Lynch or any of the other running backs the team's been rumored to be interested in acquiring.
