I am excited to see what this guy does on the next level. Great pick up. He is the reason Clausen looked as good as he did. I can see that he does body-catch a heck of a lot, as some of the analysts pointed out. Hopefully, the coaches can work on that with him. Even with that, I love this pick.

Hawksfan80, Colt McCoy is going to be a average or worse quarterback in the NFL and Tate made Clausen look good. I think the Seahawks did the right thing. If Hass continues to decline and Charlie doesn't pan out (although I think he will), we can draft a QB next year. This draft was not good for QB's. Seahawks get an A- for the first three rounds, in my book.
STOKED!!!

I'll admit, I had my reservations about Carroll and Schneider...no more! So far they are picking amazing value at positions that we need!! A+++

Made Clausen look like a pro. Look at most of those highlights closely and you will tell that Tate had to go and get those balls thrown to him. That means Clausen wasn't accurate enough to hit Tate on his own. Tate had to make those catches to get himself into the NFL, it just so happens that he helped Clausen along the way.
Hasselbeck can hit his receivers when he is standing long enough to finish his reads and go through his progressions. It is real hard to Hit Housh on a 15 yard post route when he is getting pressured by the time Housh gets to the break. Not enough time to settle into his throws. You will eat your words about Hasselbeck after this year trust me.
Okung instantly makes this team better and Makes Hasselbeck better. Tate is a Playmaker at WR, PR, and KR. Then we have a huge upgrade at Safety. The draft isn't even over yet and there are still good players left, remember, Gibbs prides himself on finding talented ZBS linemen in later rounds too.
I have had my skeptisism about Carroll and Schneider in regards to how they handled free agency but they have drafted so well thus far that I have to rely on my renewed faith.

All the talk of trading down to aquire more picks was good poker. We just hit 2-3 home runs with only 3 picks!

I like a lot of what I see as far as the YAC is concerned but the boy body catches way too much and will need to correct that in the NFL. That said I like the pick.

Maybe now is when we get the USC guys.
Everson Griffin and Joe Mcknight both would be huge pickups. Value and need
Do we trade our two 5ths for an early 4th?

Watching that video is exciting!
The Pros - Speed. He is a burner! Not only does he possess the high-end speed, but he is elusive and appears to have exceptional body control. Golden also exhibits jumping ability that allows him to play taller than his size. Finally, he looks like he is a threat to score any time he touches the ball. The Seahawks need that kind of play maker.
The Cons - I did not read about much about Golden, but watching the video it was quickly apparent he needs to use his hands to catch the ball, not his body. He does not have Torry Holts hands. He also is willing to give up yards to attempt to break the big run. (I wonder if that will work in the NFL?) Finally, in this video, he is not a patient runner. He does set up his blocks enough (particularly on reverses). Because of his speed, he quickly outruns his blocking. On a positive note, it makes me consider that with more athletic linemen, emphasized in zone blocking, he might be unstoppable out of the backfield.
I am very excited to see how is speed translates to the NFL. Very Nice.
BTW. . . To all those (BillT) who were highly critical of the FO not selecting a DE like Griffen or Wooten with the 60th pick, with any luck one or possibly both of them may be available when the Hawks pick with the 6th pick in the 4th round. Wouldn't that be amazing! (The draft would REALLY be falling into the Seahawks lap!)

Amazing draft. Why not grab Bruce Campbell in the fourth and develop him for a couple of years and trade him for real value when he blossoms. He can play inside next to Okung. We should trade up first thing tomorrow and grab Griffon. That is an amazing talent in the fourth round.Cant belive he is still there.Cant wait to get on this thing first thing in the morning.

Below is a Rotoworld post about trading for Marshawn and the thought of bringing in Lynch with this draft class gets me pretty excited. Especially given that it looks like the 'hawks might not have to give up much to get him:
One personnel director tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he's sure the Bills would be "willing to take whatever at this point" for Marshawn Lynch.
"They've got too many guys and they're trying to move him, but I don't know if there's much activity," said the executive. "He just doesn't want to be there. Just not a good situation." This is similar to a report from ESPN's Chris Mortensen, who tweeted earlier in the day that "Lynch has to be a goner ... Couldn't give him away is what I've been told." Seattle remains the most likely landing spot, but it doesn't sound like they'd give up much for him.

Lynch and Haynesworth in a positive value trade for the Hawks.
Draft Griffin/Wooten/Campbell
Man, this would be one amazing off-season.

Considering our wide reciever corps already I don't think this was the greatist pick unless they have other plans. As far as Ruskell, people should just shut up about him. Seattle had 2 #1's this year because of him. The jury is still out on Curry but give the guy more then 1 year. Unger was a solid pick and so was Butler, evan though he may not be a Carroll guy but he still has talent. Our secondary still needs more help!!!
Hoping for a couple of these guys tomorrow

How about giving the Bills the 133 pick in a trade for Lynch? I read they were, as recently as 10 days ago, looking for a 5th round pick. If not 133 how about 139? Seems like a reclamation project for Pete Carroll. Lynch is only 24. I know he has off-field issues, but so do several Seahawks.

I like how the Hawks have built special teams depth through the off-season and I really like their moves thus far in the draft. I think they gave too much for Whitehurst, but do like the idea of bringing in a QB to hopefully build on for the future.
That said, we are never going to get everyone we want or need to fill every hole we have in one draft/one off-season - it's just not realistic. But this is a promising start to turning this franchise back around fairly quickly.

I liked all the top 4 quarterbacks in the draft Clausen, Bradford, McCoy and Tebow. And even as rookies, they are all better than Hasselback and Whitehurst.

Looks almost like Largent in his ability to run routes all over the field until he's open, with deep speed and RB strength. Wonder if he can block...
Also seemed like most of Clausen's completions were made while running for his life, so a WR that has lots of experience bailing out a QB like that is just what the Doctor ordered.
