With the 24th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the New England Patriots trade to the Dallas Cowboys who select WR Dez Bryant. A good pick and great value, not too huge a risk to take at 24 for a potential elite wide receiver.
With the 25th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the Baltimore Ravens have traded back to the Denver Broncos, who have selected TIM TEBOW. Whoa, bombshell and Clausen remains on the board... Craziness afoot people!
With the 26th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the Arizona Cardinals take Dan Williams, nose tackle from Tennessee, a very good pick for them (unfortunately).
With the 27th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the New England Patriots select a real live player, CB Devin McCourty from Rutgers. McCourty is a very good cornerback, and they have been trying to boost their secondary for a couple of years now. Not a bad pick, but you know how I feel about Kyle Wilson.
With the 28th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the Miami Dolphins select Penn State DE/DT Jared Odrick, which is a bit of a surprise with Sergio Kindle still on the board. I think he's been underrated though, so hey, not bad.
With the 29th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the New York Jets select Kyle Wilson, CB from Boise State. A great pick here, this guy probably could have gone anytime from #12 on with no one criticizing it one little bit. I've made it no secret that he's my favorite CB in the draft. Scary next to Revis!
With the 30th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the Minnesota Vikings trade pick to the Lions, who select RB Jahvid Best. My wife called it! Not bad, but who the hell is going to block for him and Stafford? Still, I love Best, a huge get for the Lions who may have suspected the Saints would go after him.
With the 31st overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft... the Indianapolis Colts have selected OLB Jerry Hughes from TCU. Why not? He'll play DE for them and he's a total stud, definitely ready to contribute immediately.
With the final pick of the First Round of the 2010 NFL Draft... the New Orleans Saints have not traded (surprising!) and have selected CB Patrick Robinson from Florida State. Andddd... we're done. The phones are going to start ringing off the hook right now! St. Louis is about to get RICH.
I'll be back in a bit with some more analysis on the Seahawks draft picks.
