5:06 - With the 59th pick in the NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select RB Montarrio Hardesty. The Seahawks are on the clock, and we are moving threads!
5:04 - Last pick before the Seahawks... Philadelphia is on the clock... Damnit! The Browns just traded up in front of us, meaning, they aren't trading with us... d-a-r-n.
4:58 - The Patriots traded their pick to the Houston Texans. At #58, the Texans select Ben Tate, RB from Auburn. One of our favorite RBs, should be awesome in Houston.
4:56 - Seahawks are so close! Two more picks... Everson Griffen, Charles Brown, Corey Wootton, Golden Tate all MIGHT be available...
4:55 - Terrence Cody to the Ravens at #57. Nice pick up for them!
4:53 - With the 56th pick in the NFL draft, the Packers select Mike Neal, DE from Purdue. Seemed more like a 4-3 DT than a 3-4 DE. Oh well, thought we might look at him in the fourth, but here he is in the second!
4:51 - Green Bay is on the clock right now. I wouldn't be shocked if they took Charles Brown, but only if they feel they really, really need to improve the tackle spot.
4:50 - Remarkable how slow the networks are in getting these picks out to us... Twitter for the win.
4:46 - Dallas trades up with Philadelphia (you read that right). At #55, the Cowboys select LB Sean Lee.
4:44 - Cincinatti Bengals select Carlos Dunlap, DE from Florida. He is someone we thought might be targeted, but he makes a load of sense for the Bengals who generally won't draft anyone without a DUI.
4:41 - New England Patriots use #53 pick to select Jermaine Cunningham DE/OLB from Florida. Another DE not on the Seahawks' radar...
4:39 - Pittsburgh Steelers select Jason Worilds, OLB from Virginia Tech. Well, if you're Worilds it's hard to argue with. I don't know a whole lot about these LBs for obvious reasons.
4:38 - The Chiefs drafted Javier Arenas with the pick they acquired for Tony Gonzalez. That is epic fail.
4:35 - With the 51st pick in the NFL Draft, the Vikings select Toby Gerhart, RB from Stanford. I have a friend who is a big Texans fan, who wanted them to pick Gerhart. OUCH.
4:30 - The Texans have traded the 51st pick to the Vikings!
4:27 - With the 50th pick of the NFL draft, the Chiefs select Javier Arenas, DB from Alabama. Another very undersized playmaker. He's a good punt and kick returner, but then, so is Dexter McCluster. What the hell?
4:23 - Kansas City on the clock... and it's ticking down...
4:20 - At #49, the San Francisco 49ers select SS Taylor Mays. Well, all the big Mays fans will get to see him at least twice a year, so I guess that's a plus? Good for Mays, and he doesn't scare me much -- save for possible injuries to our players coming at the barrel of his shoulder.
4:17 - At #48, the Carolina Panthers select QB Jimmy Clausen. Finally, Clausen is selected. They may have just gotten the best steal in recent draft history, but then again, they may have just drafted Brian Brohm. I'm happy for the Panthers, I think it's a great pick and they would have definitely taken him at #17 had they not traded their pick away. They are also one of my favorite teams, so y'know, not bad.
4:15 - The Arizona Cardinals take TCU LB Daryl Washington at #47. This is another very good pick by the Cardinals, especially with Dan Williams in the middle in front of him. Patriots got Arizona's 3rd round pick to make the move. Good for us!
4:14 - New York Giants select Linval Joseph, a defensive tackle with 46th pick. *had him as an end, my bad*
4:13 - Cardinals just traded up with the Patriots to get in front of San Francisco. I feel like they might take McCoy or Clausen here. I had them taking McCoy in my mock draft.
4:11 - Giants are on the clock with pick #46. They will not take a quarterback. I almost forgot both were still there. I am totally torn as to whether I would like the Seahawks to take Clausen at #60 if he remains, especially if a DE I like is there. Ugh, who cares about QBs anymore anyway?
4:08 - Fun fact: 3 of Mayock's top 6 picks are USC players - Taylor Mays, Charles Brown, Everson Griffen.
4:07 - Finally, order is restored. The Broncos just made their selection, and it is Zane Beadles. Why not? A solid guard to help out their pretty darn good line. (Correction - technically a tackle in college, but everyone sees him as a center or guard.)
4:04 - The Oakland Raiders finally make a pick and it is Lamarr Houston, DT from Texas. That is a little surprising given that Bruce Campbell is on the board, but it's not a bad pick at all. Al Davis has finally died, or at least, that's the only reasonable conclusion I can draw here.
4:02 - They are falling behind. The Raiders are already off the clock, but we don't know officially who the Ravens pick is. Think 99% its Kindle.
4:00 - The Baltimore Ravens select Texas LB/DE Sergio Kindle at #43.
3:59 - One hour, 9 picks. The 42nd Pick is made by the Patriots who traded up with the Raiders and selected Arizona TE Rob Gronkowski. Good tight end, lucky guy.
3:56 - This is a battle between Ravens and Patriots. They both want him, but who gets him? Ha! This is great.
3:55 - 15 seconds... come on Al, put in your pick. 3...2...1... The Raiders have passed! There is a trade coming, apparently. Very confusing. Looks like Rob Gronkowski has been picked, but no one knows what's happening. Awesome.
3:52 - The Raiders are on the clock, and I would guess that they draft Bruce Campbell here... that or someone no one has ever heard of who is expected to be an undrafted free agent. One of those...
3:49 - With #41, the Bills take DT Terrelle Troup from Central Florida. This is why they're terrible. It makes some sense as they're moving to 3-4, but I'd take Mt Cody over him, and it's just not their top need by any stretch.
3:46 - With the 40th pick in the 2010 draft, the Miami Dolphins select Koa Misi (acquired in trade with San Diego who had acquired it from Seattle). Makes sense, but it seems very obvious that Sergio Kindle has more serious concerns than it initially seemed... Had the Seahawks retained this pick, would they have taken Jimmy Clausen? Plenty of reasons to doubt that now. Very interesting how things have gone.
3:45 - With the 39th pick in the 2010 draft, the Tampa Bay Bucs select WR Arrelious Benn from Illinois. Great pick for them, they need help desperately at the position. He's got the potential to be a star, but in Tampa, y'know, he won't be. Still, smart pick.
3:43 - Wow, the Bucs just traded up with the Raiders (three picks plus a 5th). Who they rushing up to take? Defensive end perhaps?
3:37 - With the 38th pick in the 2010 draft, the Cleveland Browns select Safety TJ Ward, who I know literally nothing about. Mayock expected him to go in the 4th round due to serious medical concerns. He was called a poor man's Mike Brown... yikes. Who knows! Here is a scouting report. He's from Oregon, which explains why I don't know him. Go Huskies!
3:35 - The Browns are on the clock. I get the (obvious) feeling it will be Colt McCoy here, but they have so many needs it's possible they pass on him and take a real need. Not sure how you trust in Delhomme and Wallace though.
3:32 - With the 37th pick in the 2010 draft, the Eagles select safety Nate Allen from South Florida.
3:30 - Eagles are on the clock with pick #37... wouldn't be shocked to see a safety go with Nate Allen or, as Mayock says, Daryl Washington from TCU. Something about TCU LBs that I like a lot (Hi David Hawthorne!).
3:28 - HawkSmack asked in the comments - if Brown is there at 60, could we take him and could he move inside? Yes, and yes, but more likely would be that he starts over Locklear I would imagine. Don't see it being super likely, but it would also help put pressure on Okung, since Brown could also play LT if Okung doesn't push. We already know that Locklear can not.
3:26 - With the 36th overall pick, the Chiefs select RB/WR Dexter McCluster. I think McCluster is one of the most overrated guys in this draft, but he's certainly exciting to watch. If he can be a stud returner, you get something out of him, but not sure he's worth this pick.
3:23 - The Chiefs are on the clock and are considered a possibility for Clausen. It sounds like Weis wants him, but few believe they'll step out on Cassel like that. We will see! It would give him a little time to develop, but then, into what exactly? I am always skeptical of NFL coaches getting more out of a player than they did in college (which is why I'm skeptical of Carroll taking non-superstars from USC like Mays and Griffen).
3:20 - The Bucs have selected Brian Price with the 35th overall pick in the NFL draft. Wow! Phenomenal starting tackles now, absolutely unexpected, but not bad value at all. Ballsy pick, but pairing him with McCoy is a scary line. Not
3:19 - The Bucs want the trade, can they get it? They're bleeding the clock, and need to submit it in the next 30 seconds. They need a WR! Golden Tate or Arrelious Benn? So many needs.
3:14 - Surprised that no one has traded up yet, but Tampa certainly needs to be trying hard. These guys have so many needs, and QB is not one of them. It's clear the teams aren't ecstatic about these QBs, but even a poor value trade to pick up an extra pick or two seems like a no-brainer, assuming you don't lose too much.
3:13 - Pick is in: with the 34th overall selection in the draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected CB Chris Cook from Virginia.
3:12 - Vikings on the clock, they could go for Clausen, McCoy, Cornerback, or possibly an offensive tackle. They could also trade it, and that's definitely what I would expect... but who knows. Every prediction I've made has been embarrassing.
3:10 - A good pick by the Rams, but they need WR bad. I think Saffold could play at guard to start or right tackle, but then, I never thought Jason Smith was an LT, but could be a stud RT for years to come. With Jason Smith, Jason Brown and Rodger Saffold, they don't have a totally embarassing line anymore. Wouldn't be shocked to see them grab a big guard to take over for Incognito.
3:08 - No trade for the Rams! The pick is in. With the 33rd pick in the draft the Rams select Rodger Saffold, OT Indiana.
3:01 - ESPN's ticker :NFL Draft Resumes in ERROR. Nice. Just a reminder, each team has 7 minutes per team. Barring trades, expect the Seahawks to come on the clock sometime between 4:45 and 5:45.
3:00 - The St. Louis Rams are on the clock! It's got to be a trade, but then, who knows. They're not exactly known for being bright with draft decisions... Cleveland, Buffalo, Carolina could all try to trade up.
2:57 - A few people the Seahawks have been mocked to take: Carlos Dunlap, Jonathan Dwyer twice (don't see it happening personally), Corey Wootton.
We'll try a liveblog today, for simplicity's sake. Most recent posts will be at the top. Seven minutes away!

...and I seriously don't like Clausen and don't want him on my team. Even in round 2.

I have a friend who is a big Vikings fan. He's pissed, because they have AP.
That trade didn't make sense for either team.
