I'm not used to the Seahawks getting any sort of national attention (especially positive attention), but that's just what we're getting this morning. Here are a few good reads of that variety, then a few more links of general sweetness. Enjoy!

  • Peter King's MMQB puts the Seahawks at center stage and refers to the Seahawks' draft as a "dream."
  • The USA Today hands out draft grades. Your Seattle Seahawks get the only A+ in the bunch.
  • Also from USA Today, a story on Pete Carroll from the minutes just after the draft. "I wish we could have gotten a pass rusher."
  • Walter Football also hands out a mighty high rating to the Seahawks for their drafting.
  • The Jaguars have released two time pro-bowl DT John Henderson. Both the Browns and the Giants expressed interest in him via trade, but neither pulled the trigger. He's a 31 year old player who has only missed four starters in his career. It will be interesting to see if the Seahawks have any interest in him. I wouldn't expect it as he doesn't really fit the mold of the 1-tech we are hopefully searching for, but Mebane could slide back over and handle those duties admirably.
  • Aaron Levine interviews Russell Okung. Good stuff.
  • And, finally, Rob Staton wraps-up each pick of the Seahawks draft day(s).
