Well, it's week one, so hey, who matters today?

  • Matthew Hasselbeck - I've said it before, I'll say it again: Hasselbeck's accuracy and completion percentage is is very important. More than that though, how will Matt come out after the worst year of his career? Can he still lead this team legitimately? I think so, obviously, but he needs to prove it today.
  • Brandon Mebane - After all the hype and excitement, it is time for Mebane to prove he is deserving of it. Beyond that, he's my jersey choice today -- make me proud, Brandon!!
  • Jordan Babineaux - Babs will get his chance to start and to shine. Can he make big plays today? Ignore what people are saying, Lawyer Milloy is going to be pushing for a starting job, and it is unequivocally Babineaux's job to lose. Going against a poor secondary, he'll have some opportunities today to prove himself.
  • Julius Jones - This is a "prove yourself" game for Jones. After years of perceived disrespect, he is being called the "workhorse." I really believe he can and, more to the point, must average 4-5 yards per carry and hit the 80-100 yard mark at a minimum. If he stumbles out of the gate, don't think for a second that his carries will start diminishing quickly. There are two solid backs in waiting.
  • Patrick Kerney - He didn't show much in the preseason, he didn't need to. He needs to starting today. Possibly the key to our pass rush and, thus, defense. A strong effort from him and we're good to go.
  • Josh Wilson - No commentary is really needed here, is it?
Who are you watching? I mean, besides the Seahawks in person, judging by our traffic today, haha. Enjoy it guys, and come back later and often for coverage.
