Well guys and gals, we've made it! Tomorrow is the first official practice of the 2009 NFL Season, and the countdown to week one is underway in earnest. In just six lonnng days, your new-look Seattle Football Seahawks will face off against the St. Louis Rams in a Qwest Field opener. In preparation for the opener, I thought I'd put together a Top 10 list of the Seahawks in the offseason:

10. Mike Wahle Retires; Leonard Weaver, Rocky Bernard, and Bobby Engram leave in free agency.
09. Seahawks draft Nick Reed 247th Overall.
08. Colin Cole is signed in free agency; Brandon Mebane to start at 3-technique DT.
07. Gus Bradley, Greg Knapp, Dan Quinn are hired as Coordinators / Assistant Head Coach.
06. Ray Willis is signed to a two-year contract.
05. Julian Peterson is traded to Detroit for Cory Redding and a 5th round draft pick.
04. Seahawks sign free agent WR TJ Houshmandzadeh; fans frantically attempt to make jokes, learn to spell Iranian surnames.
03. Jim Mora takes over as Head Coach of the Seattle Seahawks.
02. Seahawks ship 2nd round pick to Denver for 2010 1st Round Pick; trade 3rd & 5th rd picks for 2nd Rd. and draft Max Unger 49th overall.
01. Seahawks draft Aaron Curry 4th Overall.
