Damn, a missed kick. That's very bad.
Anyway, the Seahawks are up 13 - 7 at half, though there were some points we left out there, including that missed field goal. Still, got to be happy with this half, yeah?
- Run Defense - The Hawks have held Matt Forte to 36 yards on 14 carries. Very nice. He had one ten yard run, but thats it. Good for 2.6 YPC.
- Pass Defense - Less good. The Hawks have allowed Cutler to throw for 12/16 with 150 yards. The Interception was nice, the touchdown was a bit embarassing, but we almost got the sack there. So, something to improve on.
- Overall Defense - Very good, overall. In reality, that touchdown didn't happen because there's no way you can say that fumble didn't happen or at least that it was conclusive that he was down. Baloney. The three and out after the huge return by Knox and the BS facemask call was gigantic.
- Run Offense - Quite nice! Jones has 8 carries for 46 yards, and has been looking solid. He also brought back that pretty spin move we saw early last year. Nice. The run blocking has been so, so much better than last week, though Schmitt is still a downgrade from Griffith.
- Pass Offense - Spreading it around a bit, which is nice, but Burleson has really stepped up. Houshmandzadeh hasn't been doing a whole lot, but Seneca was also missing him on most shots that way.
- Overall Offense - Again, good, but not great. We should've had more points on the board and we need to convert on those opportunities. We get the ball back to start the half.
- Half-time Gameball - Unequivocally David Hawthorne. Incredible half by the Heater.
