Bold Prediction Error List - At San Francisco

Written by William P. Tomisser on .

Bold Prediction contestants.

Every Saturday, I'm going to come out with a list of users who I noticed made errors in their predictions so they can have a chance to fix the problem(s) and get their entry updated before the deadline at game time. I want to make it clear that I have absolutely no responsibility to find your errors and bring them to your attention but as I'm doing the data input to the spreadsheet, if I happen to notice something out of line or incorrect, I'll try to bring it to your attention on this weekly post on Saturday. With over 60 contestants so far, figure 10 answers to log in for each person so I have to record 600 answers every week or more and just don't have the time to verify everyone's entries so the ultimate responsibility for the correctness of your entries is still you.

Everyone who made an entry into the contest should take a quick look at the list below and if you find your userid listed there, note the problem and make a comment attached to this post and give me the corrected data. Next week, we'll be using a new format for posting your answers but for this inaugural week, just note the prediction and your corrected answer and I'll correct it on the spreadsheet.

This week, so far, everyone has entered their responses without any real problems except for the takeaway/giveaway quotient prediction where some of you are still having trouble getting your answer into the correct format. I will only accept a non zero number with either a plus sign in front of it (+) or a negative sign in front of it (-) or a zero (0).

Examples: +1, -3, 0, +2, -1, -4 are all valid answers. Other answers like these are invalid:

'2 takeaways and 3 giveaways' or ' 2/3' or 'even' or 'Seahawks 3, Opponents 2'

These are all invalid entries and will get you a blank entry on the spreadsheet for that prediction and no chance to win a point on that one. You also don't need to define the turnovers like: +2, recover 2 fumbles or add any other extrananeous information. Just enter the positive or negative number or zero and nothing else please.

I will try and update the list if more entries come in and I find more errors but as I said, I'm not responsible for catching errors so if I don't note an error on this list, you're still the one responsible for the correctness of your predictions. Note: USAFANARC, #11, yoda69, Hawk_DE, and Turn on the AC also didn't enter the takeaway/giveaway quotient correctly but their entries were corrected this week so you guys get a mulligan this time but next week, you're responsible for getting it in the right format like everyone else.

Here's today's error list so far:

Kelphelper - Expressed the takeaway/giveaway quotient as "even".

Dubb - Expressed the takeaway/giveaway quotient as "4/1".

12thmanDan - Expressed the takeaway/giveaway quotient as "1 each".

rslosey - didn't give an answer for the takeaway/giveaway quotient prediction.

You have until game time Sunday to make a comment and post the corrected entry for the prediction listed above to have a chance to get credit for that prediction if your answer is correct. Good luck everyone!

Hasta,

BillT
