Hey there Hawk Fans, apologies for the site being a bit slow of late (though the other guys, especially Bill, have been more than pulling their weight - thanks guys!). I've been hyper-slammed at work all this past week as my boss quit and her quasi-replacement is on vacation, so our cast of five is down to three. Anyway, you don't care, but I just wanted to let you know that it'll be back up to speed soon.

Keys to the game!

  1. Pressure Cutler! It sounds like Brandon Mebane is going to give it a go tomorrow, and his presence will help a lot. Cutler is a whiny little peanut bag and if he's getting pressured often he gets frazzled; when he is frazzled, he makes mistakes, throws interceptions or just errant balls, and in general, the other team wins.
  2. Strong secondary play. It's going to be difficult with our top three CBs likely out, but Jennings and Fisher have both started in this league and are both capable of doing so. If they can contain the receivers, we should be okay -- remember, they don't really have any stud WR. Grant and Babs need to be much better tacklers and angle-takers.
  3. Establish the run game early. Seneca will strive in a play-action scheme that can actually fool the other team. If our running game is not a threat, our passing game won't be much of one either. I think we can do this and I think we must to win.
  4. 12th Man. You were all a huge part of demolishing the Rams in week one, but we need the fans to come out and scream their heads off tomorrow. DO IT!
