So, how are the Hawks adjusting to deal with Peyton "The Genius" Manning? Well, here's one way:

“Peyton is a guy who will hear that and he’ll pick up on it,” Mora said. “We don’t want to give him a pre-snap read, and we certainly don’t want to tell him, ‘Hey, Peyton, we’re going to play this coverage.’ We’re going to try to be silent and nonverbal in our communication.”

The Seahawks will be wearing wristbands with playcalls on them, Lofa will get the call, go into the huddle and let everyone know the corresponding code. This will allow the defense to be, in theory at least, nearly silent. The less the Seahawks give Manning to go off of, the better life will be for this Seattle defense, or at least, that's the hope.

I'm not a huge believer in this system, it seems much more likely for people to screw up and give Manning something to expose, but hey, what do I know?
