Rob Sims sprained his ankle, severity unknown but it looks bad. Danny O'Neil's got the pic:

Walter Jones, Mike Wahle, Chris Spencer, Rob Sims, Sean Locklear. That was supposed to be our starting line this year. We've ended up with Frye, Wrotto, Vallos, Unger and Willis. I know Spencer played today, but let's face it he'll be injured again soon. Surprisingly we only gave up 5 sacks. I have very little faith in our ability to have success offensively until we revamp our offensive line.

What do you mean bad news? Only one additional starter lost to injury? That's a dream come true for a Seahawk fan.

I really hope that ankle sprain isnt bad. We need Sims--he's finally "getting it" and playing like an NFL starter.
The reason we only had 5 sacks was Seneca Wallace and his wheels. With Teel or Hasselbeck back there, it would have been 15 sacks. Seriously, Seneca gives us the best chance to win with the tattered rags of an offensive line we are forced to field.
And even IF the line held in pass pro--where can Seneca throw to with Housh running sub-5-yard routes that DB's can sit on?!

as much as it sounds inconceivable, we may need to boycott seahawk merchandise and games until proper changes are made, letting ownership and management know why. we deserve better. i love my hawks, have for over 30 years, but this is absolutely gut wrenching, after last year, and knowing it'll probably be this way until the draft again. sickening. CHANGE!!!
Biggest Issue with TR

With all of TR's moves my biggest issue is that the OL has become increasingly worse every years since 2005. My question is will another 4-12 or 6-10 year be the end for TR?

Well as disappointing as the Husky lost was yesterday. This was a fucking embarrassment. As much as Seneca looked good last year...he looks that shitty this year. Seneca ever since you played little league football you CANNOT throw the ball after you cross the goal line. Take some awareness of where you are on the field.
The defense was just total shit..first time this year I almost stopped watching the game at half time.

LOL, I did not make it to Half Time

I did not expect a win today, but, after the first quarter, my wife turned the TV off and said we had better things to do than sit through another road loss. I promise to show up at the home games and scream until I rupture a vessel, but, no. I could not watch.

Seriously, Matt has thrown the ball when across the line of scrimmage before too. While it sucked to have the play called back, none of the qb's on our roster except Seneca could have gotten away from that pressure and found Housh anyway, so its a moot point. And it was a close call.
While stats arent anything, given the state of our offensive line, and Knapp's ridiculous playcalling in the Red Zone, I will take Seneca and his 94 QB rating any day.

Shame on me!
Offensive line injuries and lack of depth are a scouting problem. All of our guys up front have a history of injuries. Locklear's annual ankle injury. Spencer's annual shoulder problems. Sims' annual injuries. Perhaps we can bring in someone to teach us how to keep these guys on the field.
I no longer think this is coincedence. Heads need to roll.

Seneca

I have to admit, I thought that Seneca played OK. He was under siege all day, but he played OK. The defense was the Hawks defense for this year. Lofa, Mebane and all of the starting D-Backs played (except for True). The worst part of the entire affair was watching how easily Payton and his gang moved the ball down the field to score TD's.
Even though Seneca played OK, the key difference was at QB; Manning v Wallace. That was a total mismatch. Manning v Hasselbeck would have been more competitive. When Manning is pressured, he finds a quick outlet. Seneca does not.

Being a Seahawk offensive lineman is more dangerous than being a drummer in Spinal Tap. For real, 2 of our top 3 picks need to go toward the offensive line. ESPECIALLY if Spencer is not retained.
