This isn't a must-win, but it absolutely feels like it. The last thing the 12th Man wants is to fall to 1-3. Still, the next two games are very winnable, and going into the bye 3-3 would be good enough to keep us in the running while our guys get healthy. Screw that though, we want the ball and we're gonna score! Repeatedly! How do we win this sucker?
- Front Four must create pressure. If you've read anything we wrote about this game so far this week, you already know this. The absolute key to getting to Manning is doing so without having to send a blitz. If all his guys are covered AND Manning is under pressure, you better believe he's going have more trouble than, well, just about any other time in a game. Sweet. This is on Kerney, Mebane, LoJack and Tapp. You can do it, guys!
- The Run Game. Julius Jones needs to keep it up, but look for Edge and Forsett to get a little bit involved too, especially if Jones sputters a little. 150 yards on the ground might be a nice threshold to shoot for, but 120 might do the trick. The key is establishing the run and using it to start running down the clock from the 1st Quarter on. The less time Manning has, the better.
- Seneca can't err. It was his first start in awhile, he was a bit restrained, he was throwing with poor form, etc etc. We get it. Still, Seneca has to play like an NFL starting quarterback today. He has proven he can, now he has to actually do it. If he avoids 50% of the mistakes he made last week, we'll be in a good position to win this game.
- Leave no points on the field. Our offense can drive the ball. It needs to drive it to the endzone, not the 25 yard line.
