Hey all, first off, sorry for the slow blog this week. Was a crazy week for me at work and I have been a bit drained. I basically took the week off from the blog (though I didn't intend to). Big thanks to the excellent Bill T, Steve M, and Mike P for holding down the fort as they do oh so well. Also, for those of you who have sent me an email of some sort over the last week, I'll be getting back to you soon, just way behind.
Enough BS, lets talk football!
This is an absolutely important game today, win it and we're not out of it, lose it and... we... almost are. Who needs to step up today?
- Brandon Frye - If Hasselbeck gets injured, we might as well start scouting 2010 QBs now. Frye must play better than he did last week, and honestly, it'll be hard not to. He hasn't seen any 3-4 fronts thus far when playing with us, but hopefully he'll be able to keep Hasselbeck clean.
- Cory Redding - All the defensive line must be great today, but Redding has been only good so far and we need him to step up and be great. He is a vocal guy, and an emotional leader on the defense. We need him to be more than that today, we need him to be dominant against the run and effective in controlling Garrard, one of the better guys at escaping when the pocket collapses.
- Josh Wilson - He's (probably) back, and he needs to be 100%. There are no big names on the Jags WR corps (at least, not big names under the age of 65), but they are good players with an accurate QB who makes few mistakes. Wilson and Lucas have a tough task ahead of them, and they must be ready for it.
- Julius Jones - We need to be effective running the ball today, because we aren't going to be able to take too many risks with Hasselbeck today. Lets go for 120 yards and two TDs?
