And has 3 passes to Vernon Davis for 3 TDs. The 49ers are down by three with 3:43 left in the game, but have been dominant in the second half. More importantly, Alex Smith looks very, very good. In case you didn't know, that's not good for us. To be fair, the Texans hadn't gameplanned at all for him, and he's a very different QB, so let's see how he looks in Week 8 before we start peeing ourselves.

So mad right now. I'm a 5-1 team facing a 1-5 team in fantasy football but Vernon Davis's 3 TD's has the other guy ahead right now. Really lame, thanks a lot Alex Smith and Houston's horrible pass defense!

Oh, not to mention if the 49ers come back in this game and win it, we'll have to continue hearing all that junk about how they're going to the SB.

Nice comeback, but the 49ers lose and that's all that matters smilies/grin.gif

Looks like 49ers finally have a decent WR corps now with Davis and Crabtree.

I can't seem to get a read on the 9ers. In my opinion, Matt doesn't get hurt and we win that game. But then against the Vikings, I thought they deserved to win that one. Alex Smith is a mobile quarterback who really needed to mature. I'm hoping this isn't the case, but sometimes, sitting for a few games allows you to better absorb things and mature. It happened with Hasselbeck when Dilfer took over for him and he never looked back. Lets hope that it was just as simple as Houston not being prepared for him as a change up QB.

The kid obviously has some tools or he wouldn't have been the 1st overall pick.

Lets go Hawks.

Pee ourselves? Because of Alex Smith? Do you need a nightlight?
A nice switch ...

Having a quick look at what the 9ers did yesterday, something came to light. Trailed by 21 on the road, they were able to make a deep switch over their initial game plan to drive a spread offense with Alex Smith in the 2d half.
I guess that's all we're missing today. Hasselbeck is bad or down, then we have no answer, the running game struggles, then we have no answer, not enough pressure from the Dline, then we have no answer, and so on.
Then to the question "are the Seahawks Mentally Tough?", I'll answer it's hard to play tough with only one or two cards in your hand.
Our game plan is lacking in versatility, IMO that the main reason why we're not able to change the course of a game. No plan B.

Uh...I seem to recall getting beaten quite a bit by the 49ers lately no matter who the QB is. Until we're able to stop Frank Gore, they'd be able to beat us with Tim Rattay at QB.

It was only half a game...come back in four weeks and ask the question again...even Rick Mirer put together the occasional good half...(not many, but there were a couple)
This not only about Alex Smith ...

This is not only about Alex Smith as the whole team was able to respond to a deep switch over their initial game plan at the half. I guess this is all about options they have in it. They can run the ball, they can throw it too, and Crabtree' hands will be an asset for this team most likely.
