The NFL's officiating seems so much worse than it ever has before, which is fairly substantial considering. I am seriously getting tired of watching the NFL, as every effing game seems to be determined by the refs rather than the players on the field.
Don't get me wrong, the Seahawks haven't been playing a great game, and they have made plenty of mistakes... still, the two PI calls against Trufant, especially the second one, were wrong. The second one was one of the worst calls I've seen in years -- Austin literally just smacked into a stationary Trufant who was turned towards the ball (Austin wasn't). Naturally that's a 20 yard penalty... against the... Seahawks? Whatttt?
And that last touchdown, how could you possibly say he had possession? I don't get it. He had one finger on the ball as it rolled into the endzone, and was bobbling it prior to that.
Again, the Seahawks NEED to play better, we have said it 100 times. If we're going to win in this league, we clearly have to do so in blowouts because we won't be getting any breaks from the guys in stripes. But really, it just makes me want to vomit.

Its like that call last year on Grant in the end zone against the 9ers. That INT he made would have sealed the game, but the refs seem to have forgetten the whole must be catchable aspect of that rule.

NEW NFL RULE, "The Plane Rule"
If you receive a ball in the end zone but it comes out as you hit the ground, it's an incomplete pass.
If you receive a ball outside the endzone but it comes out as you hit the ground, it's an incomplete pass.
If you receive a ball outside the endzone but cross the plane as your falling, and the ball comes out when you hit the ground, it's a touchdown.
I continued to watch the game until halftime, then went out and changed the oil in my truck, then went for a walk. When I got back I checked in on the game just as crayton was running in for a TD. I then turned it back off for the rest of the day.
