Seahawks Lose Their Edge  E-mail

Edgerrin James has been released by the Seahawks. He wasn't able to step up and perform as we had hoped, and he got into the top 10 career rushers. Why would we keep him on the roster? So, y'know, we didn't. Thanks to Tom for the heads up.

Look for Louis Rankin to be active and returning kicks and punts. Justin Forsett will remain the third down back.

I got tired of watching this guy run with the ball with his even more tired legs. Though Rankin is a husky and i hate him- he's much better at this point than edge.

looks like they are also releasing cj wallace. they moved jamaar adams to the active roster to take his place.

also, cb roy lewis was signed to the active roster to replace travis fisher. this happened yesterday.

Seems like they are serious about making some changes. I was impressed with Rankin's performance against us during the preseason. He's fast, and it looks like he can break some tackles. Jones, Rankin, and Forset. I'm still mad at Forset for his buzzkill fumble on Sunday.
