According to PFT in an article here Bobby Engram has been released by the Chiefs to make room for Kolby Smith. He only had five catches this whole year. I doubt we will pick him back up and this could be the end of his career.

Can't say I didn't see this coming when the Chiefs picked up Bobby Wade.

Oh, well he had a long and good career. I think he and T.O. are the only two reciever still active from that famous reciever draft of 96. Thanks for all the memories Bobby.

It's too bad that he didn't retire as a Seahawk. It makes no business sense, but it would be nice if he could be signed for the last home game just so the fans could send him out right.

See ya, Bobby. You were great.

I agree sign him to a one day/week contract (kinda like what San Fran did to Jerry Rice) so that he can retire a seahawk

OK, did anyone else just have a virus pop up on this page? One of those little "press this for an immediate virus scan" pop-ups?

Hey Seahawks Addicts Crew, i noticed an error regarding my points in the Bold Prediction Contest!

i was at 10 points before the dallas game, then i got 2 right (Burleson and Hawthrone), but right now it says that i only have 11 points.

Can you please fix this? Because the difference from 11 to 12 points is HUGE right now!

Thanks
not retired yet

don't count on him signing a conditional contract for his retirement party until...wait for it...he announces his retirement

Louis Phan,

You chose Hawthorne for most tackles and that one was Lucas. You chose Tapp for most sacks and that one was Hawthorne. You only got one right for choosing Burleson for most receptions.

Sorry. One point was awarded.

Regarding Engram, Djack, and Hackett.

You gotta know when to hold em and know when to fold em.

Tim Ruskell.

TJ would never let the Hawks sign Engram, even if he played for free. Perhaps Mora will sit out Nate and John today so Matt can please Housh and throw him every pass.
It is nice to have the third win guaranteed, Detroit really sucks!

Nothing is guaranteed in this league. Don't be surprised if Detroit beat us.

Billt--I knew you wouldnt miss a chance to stretch the facts to throw Ruskell some love at a time when his handpicked team is one of the four worst in the NFL, despite maxing out the cap.

Engram not working out in KC doesnt necessarily mean he cant play anymore. What exactly is working out in KC?! Nor does it mean that Engram should be lumped in with Hackett and the rest.

Too bad Ruskell didnt know when to fold 'em concerning Branch. And while he dumped Hackettin a timely manner, no one Ruskell brought in has been able to replace Hackett's production--he did in 6 games a year what our new third WR Branch wont do in 16 games.Plus, Branch costs 4 times what Hackett did. So I wouldnt go giving Ruskell medals for those transactions just yet.

Even if Engram has lost a step, he would have done better than Branch has this year, and its obvious to anyone with even one eye that Hasselbeck and our entire offense is really missing him on third downs. Between Housh's lack of third-down production and the insanely high number of third-down passes dropped by Carlson and Burleson, third down is a wasteland of failure in Hawkland this season.

Having Engram would have benefited our team this year, though it surely wouldnt save us from our fate.

Engram was a consummate professional, and anyone still upset with his "holdout" surely forgets Branch's antics in NE that brought him here. I will miss Engram and I feel the whole NFL will as well. A solid parent and husband, and a fiery hardworking teammate, Bobby Engram is my vote for next Ring of Honor member--but that will most likely have to wait until Ruskell and his large ego are gone.

"Whether I was right or wrong -- which, you know, (I was) probably wrong -- it was just the competitor in me. I didn't mean no harm by it. I was just upset by the course of the game, which I would hope everybody is. People express themselves differently, obviously, but it never got this much attention before.

At least he knows that he was wrong.... That being said, like many of you, I have no problem with it because I'm tired of this soft team.

I would cut branch for homo remark last week and sign Bobby back........my 2 cent
