Eric Williams reports that the Seattle Seahawks have released former Pro-Bowl offensive guard Mike Wahle, likely ending his career. Center David Washington was also released to free up room for Grey Ruegamer, the other offensive lineman who met with the Hawks earlier this week.
Williams:
Wahle, 32, started 138 games in his 11-year career but failed a team physical. He started 10 games for Seattle in 2008, but succumbed to season-ending surgery on his right shoulder last December. It was the same shoulder Wahle had previous surgery on to repair a torn labrum while he was in Carolina.
I would imagine that Max Unger will formally take the #1 depth position at LG, but it could be Rob Sims with Unger backing him up, at least through the first preseason game or two. That is predicated on Ray Willis being slotted in at RG which was rumored in the past, but may or may not be the case.

Interesting point that another Addict brought up that Unger has played well at multiple positions in the ZBS for the last 4 years.
