Eric Williams has reported that CB Marcus Trufant may be starting the season on the PUP list, which would keep him out of action until Week 7.
The disc issue in Trufant's back, though caught early on and being dealt with accordingly, is similar to what kept Matt Hasselbeck out of nine games last season.
Additionally, Walter Jones is scheduled to have another procedure performed today on his left knee to clean up some apparent scar tissue. This is fairly common with this type of surgery, fortunately, and the team does not expect Jones to be out for a significant period.
It looks as though we'll be seeing a lot of Josh Wilson and Ken Lucas in the meantime, though.
