Hey all, apologies for the sloth. Here's what we got goin' on from yesterday...
- Michael Bennett may not have won any Olympic medals, but he did get a stern talking-to when he had a few "borderline plays," including "dragging down and twisting starting running back Julius Jones by his ankle."
- Walter Jones, Billy McMullen, Owen Schmitt and Brandon Mebane sat out of the second practice. None of the injuries are considered serious.
- Josh Wilson had a good practice, picking off two passes. I still think that Wilson is a contender for the starting job. He's short, but he isn't tiny, and he is technically sound. Lucas has looked good too though.
- Eric Williams: "Cornerback Kelly Jennings continues to play well. He had a nice pass defense on a deep ball against Nate Burleson where he was beat initially, but recovered to knock the ball away."
- Danny O'Neil discusses the Seattle Media's take on Aaron Curry and why it has been somewhat soft.
- Jerry Brewer talks Cory Redding, and it is good stuff. Redding clearly fits the prototypical Ruskell guy - good-natured, hard working, and a "man's man" (in an honor-bound sense). He's also a freakin' beast. Can you have negative body fat?
- Brock Huard continues his two day blogging streak by discussing the Seahawks thusfar in training camp. It's a nice perspective to have, and the person he appears highest on is TJ Houshmandzadeh. While I thought Housh looked great yesterday, I didn't really get too excited until hearing Brock talk about him:
Housh is the best WR I have seen with the Seahawks. He is everything Carson Palmer told us he would be. Physical, strong, relentless and a RB-like lower body coupled with strong and reliable hands. Put the ball around him, and he is coming down with it. Seneca said to us today he’s like Bobby Engram with elite size and strength, and he has far surpassed my expectations as to his play-making ability.
Well, that's it for yesterday... I apologize for the slow blog today!
