ESPN apparently just reported that Shaun Hill left 49ers practice early today after one throw with an apparent back injury. For his sake, lets hope this is no big deal. The Seahawks play Hill (recently named starter) and the 49ers in Week 2 of the regular season. If we hear anything further on the injury, we'll let you know. Thanks to Eric Y. for the email.
Currently the 49ers defense is best in the league [in preseason] for time of possession and fewest plays from scrimmage, meaning they are getting the opposing offense off the field. They are also leading the league in rushing yards from scrimmage, and have two of the top five rushers of the preseason, neither of which is named Frank Gore. That game will not be a cakewalk.
