Adam Schefter recently tweeted about seven players on the bubble, including Deion Branch and Michael Bennett [Which possibly refers to San Diego's third RB -- thanks assman for pointing that out!]. Discuss!

UPDATE: Clayton says that Branch will not be cut, but could potentially be traded. Thanks to Tom for the heads up there.

i think branch we keep and hope for a trade abd bennet needs to stay as well. He showed up in the oakland game. Branch is expendible

I think he is referring to the RB for the chargers.

Branch will stay. I don't see the Seahawks doing anything with him until next year. I think they use him as insurance and are hoping that he has a good year. He does have potential if he can stay healty.

Agreed, he's staying... hopefully with a nice pay cut... he's the Eric Bedard of Seahawk football... he's gone next year hopefully... right about the time Butler becomes great

Despite his injury and performance disappointment, at least Branch is still a solid teammate and not a cancer in the locker-room. I'm still not certain I'd rather have any of the bubble guys over Branch - but that's under the very shaky assumption that he can stay healthy.

I agree with MagooGirl. There isn't any of the bubble guys (despite a good performance last night by Obo) that can replace Branch. Unless we can get really, really good trade value, we shouldn't let him go...and a 3rd round pick isn't good value. We need help now, if we are going to get rid of him. His pay shouldn't be an issue. We aren't hurting right now for the salary cap and next year is looking like it will be uncapped.
Branch to branch

At this point, I see no interest :
- to cut Branch for few bucks saved on;
- to trade him for a futur x rounder as we want to perform here and now, what's been confirmed by our BPA draft;
- to trade him while there is nothing but dimes in the market.

Thus and IMO, keeping Branch shouldn't be a tough decision to make ...
