Tonight is a key game for many players on the current Seahawks roster to make a case for themselves. For some, it's a personal statement to make a splash and get a shot at staying on board when teams cut the roster to 53. For others, it's a test to show they have what it takes to fill some big shoes.

In Sean Locklear's case, he's got some big shoes to fill -- literally and figuratively.

Replacing perennial left tackle Walter Jones is not an easy task. Make no mistake about it; Locklear faces a very tough situation for as long as the big man is sidelined. He needs to show the naysayers tonight that he can stand up to the physical play of defensive ends, though the Broncos aren't exactly known for their fierce pash rush.

If Lock can't show enough, can Ray Willis supplant him? I'd like to say yes, because Willis has had a great camp and has the mean streak to be a nasty force on the outside.

Ken Lucas and Josh Wilson are also going to be closely evaluated tonight with Marcus Trufant out indefinitely with a Hasselback. (Can we refer to bulging discs as this from here on out?) Lucas has been burned in camp a couple of times, but Wilson looks very good in pass coverage so far and hits like a truck for being "undersized."

Expect to also see a lot of Justin Forsett and even some Devin Moore tonight. The team will figure out their "puzzle" at running back and offensive line soon enough, and tonight should serve as a good answer to a lot of that. Look for Max Unger to continue his solid play at guard and maybe even some center.

The wide receiver battle is going to be absolutely nuts, and is arguably the most competitive position on the team right now. Mike Hass, Courtney Taylor and Michael Bumpus have played very well so far, and Jordan Kent has shown some excellent flashes recently. Could this be the end for Logan Payne, who was being touted as "the human vacuum" at this time last year?

Finally, I want to see Aaron Curry put Neckbeard on his back tonight -- multiple times, even. Curry might've missed a week of practice, but I'm counting on his instincts and monstrous playmaking ability to shine tonight. Plus, he should be plenty fired up to hear the roar of the 12th Man for the first time. What a feeling that's gonna be for him.

UPDATE: Aaron Curry (groin) and Nate Burleson (hamstring) are sitting out tonight. Both are said to be OK, per Danny O'Neil's Twitter, but just resting so things get back to 100 percent.
