Greg Johns has a nice write-up on Michael Bennett this morning, another one of those studly young players who are playing way above their draft spot (undrafted, in this case). Bennett has two sacks and four tackles for loss in the first two preseason games. According to Johns, both Bennett and Reed will get a chance to shine tonight by cycling in with the first team defense, which will let them play against real live NFL players rather than scrubs. Reed actually got a shot last week against Denver's first team and actually fared quite well against Ryan Clady.

The article doesn't particularly lend itself well to quick excerpts, but here's one anyway:

"Sometimes in life when you're going places, some people take a car, some people walk and some take an airplane," Bennett said. "But you eventually get to your destination. And that's how I feel about this situation for me.

"As long as you don't give up, I believe you can do things. There are a lot of the best players in the NFL who are free agents. It's not always the first-round picks who make it all the way to the end."
