I apologize for the slow day on the blog, I sort of took the day off and, hey, so did the Hawks. Every week we'll be bringing you the keys to the game, which will often be about how we need to win the game, key match-ups, et cetera. Not always though, as you're about to read...
- I don't want to jinx anything, but lets just hope for nothing that rhymes with "thin jury thug" to hit the team tomorrow, yeah?
- The starting Offensive Line will be as follows: [L] Sean Locklear - Rob Sims - Chris Spencer or Steve Vallos - Max Unger - Ray Willis [R]. How will they play together, and how will the interior line look? I don't expect the O-Line to look great tomorrow, I think they still need to beat out the man blocking instincts they've got.
- How will Matt Hasselbeck look? His body language should tell you a lot: how he drops back, how he steps up into the pocket, and whether he will hesitate or know where his receivers are going to be. Seeing how he reacts after the first big hit is probably even more important at this point.
- Play-action Passing needs to be successful. This goes to the offensive line and the backfield. Are we selling the run from start to finish? We never really did under Holmgren. This will be interesting.
- Trick plays? Shoot, why not. I want to see Deon Butler throwing downfield to Seneca Wallace on a fake field goal!
What about you guys? We'll cover the "things to watch" more in depth tomorrow, but what are you hoping to get out of the game. How much does a win mean to you?
