There's a good piece by Steve Kelley in the Seattle Times this morning, which you can check out here. The piece basically discusses the new zone-blocking system (like every other article of late), but delves much more into Julius Jones and how he thinks he will do in the new system. Jones on the ZBS:

"I got excited when I heard that was what we were going to do. That's more my style," Jones said. "I consider myself a north-south runner, and with this offense's run scheme you can do that. Choose one hole. Stick with it. And make it work."

Jones talks about the main problem last year: poor effort. Not enough from anyone, including (especially?) him. Jones came to Seattle for a reason and, as we've all suggested over the last few months, he wasn't really given a chance to prove himself under Holmgren. Jones:

"I came here for a reason, and last year, for whatever reason, I never got the chance. Some things you just can't control. You try to stay positive. I didn't really have control over what was going on last year, so there wasn't much I could do.

"But whatever, man. It's all good. It's a brand new year. A brand new coach. Brand new situation and I couldn't be happier. Everything feels better. Totally different situation. I have faith in Coach Mora. As soon as last season was over, last day, I was excited to get back here and have a chance to play under Coach Mora."
