Danny O'Neil is tweeting that the Seahawks have released LB Tony Taylor with an injury designation and signed former Western Washington University standout Shane Simmons. Simmons was in camp with the Raiders in 2008, but did not ultimately make the team.
Here's a bio of Simmons, just in case you were wondering. Any Vikings out there know Simmons? He's a local kid.
