Alright, the last couple of days were slow, so sorry about that. I've been doing less work-blogging as work has gotten a bit... tense, shall we say, of late. At any rate, here's a little summary of the best news stories of the last couple days:
Online Sports Handicapping has the Chargers as favorites in tonights game, listing them as -4 point favorites. No big deal, this is just preseason, but they did have some nice words for Seneca Wallace:
Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will try to get into a groove as he returns from injury. Hasselbeck should not have much difficulty adjusting to new coach Jim Mora’s offensive approach with it’s similarity to Mike Holmgren’s. Hasselbeck is only expected to play a couple series before he is relieved by backup QB Seneca Wallace. Wallace is a mobile QB that has great intangibles and is a top-flight NFL backup.
The Seattle PI has a solid write-up on J-Force One (aka The Force, aka Young Nastyman). It is no secret that I have a man crush on Forsett, so it's always nice to see a decent write-up on him. The Money quote:
"He plays a lot bigger. Ask him and he'll tell you he's 6-foot-4," running backs coach Kasey Dunn said with a laugh. "He'll hit you. He's a real violent, physical player. Pound for pound, him and Julius are very, very strong players... It's pretty impressive. We like the way he's playing. Very intelligent, smart guy. No mental mistakes. We're really happy with how he's playing."
Greg Johns (also at the PI) has a decent game preview that's worth checking out.
Danny O'Neil has got a great mini-biography on Aaron Curry. It's a little bit fluffy, but there's a lot of good information there. Little known facts about Aaron Curry: he was very small in high school, he has a tattoo of a Jujubees candy bar code on his shoulder, his father is Reggie Pinkney a former NFL defensive back, and he met his wife on Facebook.
