First Half Summary - Broncos v Hawks

The defense front seven has not looked great so far, putting pretty much no pressure on Orton and missing a number of tackles.

• The third- & fourth and goal stops were great, and heartening. Most of the defensive side of the game has been a bit disheartening.
• Hasselbeck looks good, but its clear that the offense still has to work out the timing and route options. Almost all of Matt's misses have been on miscommunications. He's looked mobile in the pocket and had the room (most of the time) to step into his throws. By the way, he has a 120
• Butler has looked fantastic as a WR and mediocre (at best) as a kick returner. He's still learning. The touchdown catch was beautiful, but the third down conversion might have been even better.
• The offensive line has been not great, Locklear specifically has not had a good game, giving up both sacks so far.
• One thing I've noticed is that the Hawks are sending almost no one on blitzes. That might explain the lack of pressure to some degree.

Still can't get any pash rush or run the ball. Year after year TR puts resources into the defense and they never improve. Soft, soft, soft.

So here we are, with our second team defense beating the tar out of second / third team offenses two weeks in a row. With Nick Reed the standout.

Okay... fantastic. But really - I think what we all really should want to know is: how does this guy do against a top 10 LT?

Is it a matter of our scrubs being better than their scrubs, but not at the level of their monsters? Or... do we have something real here?

That's what I darn well want to know.
