Another day another dollar, well, unless you're Aaron Curry.
- Brandon Mebane was back in practice today after taking Monday off due to a bruised knee.
- CJ Wallace continues to impress, serving up another big hit on fullback Dan Curran. While Wallace and Jamar Adams are young and have served the team as little more than special teams players thus far, they are both very good players who appear to have made some real strides in the offseason. Adams is rumored to be one of Mora's favorite guys in the secondary, and Wallace is proving himself a big hitter. Gunner, anyone?
- Eric Williams notes that the first team run defense looked very good today. He says that Mebane, Tatupu, Hill, Tapp, Cole and Kerney all made plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. This is great news for a team that has been absolutely porous in our run-stopping without Marcus Tubbs. Is Cole finally his replacement?
- Rob Sims continue to look great in camp, with him and Cory Redding going at it today in pass rush drills. Sims dominated the first go then was taken down by Redding on the second shot. Williams says he has looked "solid," and I would agree based on the one practice I saw. There are a lot of people who don't like Sims, but I think I'm ready to forget 2007 and see what can happen in 2009.
- Max Unger and Red Bryant got into a bit of a yelling match today. I love it! First, I love both of these guys as you all know, but secondly, man, the intensity at camp is great! This is FOOTBALL! When you line up, the man across from you is the enemy. I don't care if you get beers together later, right now, he is your rival, yell at him, talk trash, get physical. This. is. football.
- As HawkDE noted earlier, Mike Teel continues to look mediocre in passing drills. Still, Jeff Rowe looked pretty bad, much worse in the practice I attended, so I'm still leaning towards Teel winning out at #3.
I know some of you have been to camp today and some are going tomorrow? What did you see? Share it with the community and I'll give you a high five...
