The impending hilarity that looks to be the Broncos' 2009 season has just gone up another notch.

ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that the team has suspended WR Brandon Marshall for the rest of the preseason. The cause of the suspension, as one might expect, is insubordination and conduct detrimental to the team.

Even though the suspension is only officially through the preseason, the Broncos are using the word "indefinitely" in this case because, as Schefter says in the video in the above link, Marshall will have to be "on his best behavior" for the team to consider bringing him back for the regular season.

Marshall apparently threw quite the temper tantrum yesterday at the team's practice:

In the video aired by KMGH-TV from Wednesday's portion of practice that was open to the media, Marshall was shown walking when the rest of the team was running during warmups, insolently punting the ball away instead of handing it to a ball boy and swatting away a pass that was thrown to him.

While the ship keeps sinking in Denver, the rest of us up here in Seattle will keep making the popcorn. That first-round pick keeps sounding better and better.
